I did follow the case back when, but only at a high level. I also followed Ross Tucker's physiological analyses with respect to slow starts and fatigue, of the blade runner's attempts to get into able-bodied events.

I'm not an expert on South African courts, but I recall Pistorius was convicted in a real criminal court by a real judge. And he himself admitted it, not contesting the charge.

It's noteworthy that a criminal court plays by a different set of rules than arbitrations, e.g. requiring the prosecution to meet a high evidentiary burden to overcome a presumption of innocence, versus requiring the accused to rebut presumptions of guilt.

I think statistically, gun owners shoot a loved one more often than an intruder.
