Additionally, UNC coach Chris Miltenberg corresponded with Jonathan Gault today.
Wolfe has a foot injury. Milt said it was not have a stress fracture but they did not feel it was worth risking running on it at regionals/NCAAs.
From Milt:
"Some inflammation popped up in his foot middle of last week and we did not want to force it or risk making it worse. He has way too bright of a future to take any unnecsssary risks. This is heartbreaking that one of the best careers in collegiate history will end this way but it is also just the beginning of the exciting future he has ahead."
Jonathan Gault has texted coach Chris Miltenberg and given the fact we haven't heard a response back makes me think something is up with Wolfe.
to be fair, are you sure Milt doesn't have media outlets blocked so he can focus on his athletes? isn't there a setting where you can just have your "favorites" list contact you.
I am still holding out hope.
I kind of agree with the mods that threads should be deleted unless we hear from an official person (school representative).

Is Parker Wolfe qualified for the Worlds 5000m based on his 7:30 3k? If not, why didn't he bother to run a rabbited wavelight special some time in the last few months?
The 13:01 Worlds standard would have been a mere formality given his 7:30. But if he has a stress fracture, he probably doesn't have time to get back in shape and run a 13:01 before Worlds.

He was going to at the end of January but he was injured at that time. He's returned but may not have been in tip top condition.

Mods getting schooled by Rojo!
Another day a letsrun volunteer mod goes home devastated. I remember last year I got banned for 2 whole a** years by some power hungry dweeb.
Also another day a letsrun rumor goes home ecstatic.

He would get in on points in all likelihood if he finishes top 3 at USAs. Last year he just missed with a 6-second closer 3K and marginally slower fastest 5K.
EDIT: also it was ominous listening to Rojo on the pod hyping up Wolfe as a shoo-in for Tokyo as I knew this rumor was likely try

I have no idea why a volunteer moderator deleted this thread for being "factually incorrect." The OP very specifically said they had heard from a source and hoped it was wrong. They couldn't have been more factually correct. Whether their source is correct or not will be determined.

UNC has it down to a science to make sure Wolfe does not get q for World/Olympic meets.

in which we all see, out in the open, just how amateur this whole operation really is
Honestly, regarding your comment, ugggh. The brojos do a good job of running a website with solid, reasonably transparent moderation and you’re going to take a dig at them for that? It’s a hard job and the alternative—as we’ve seen with Twitter and Facebook—is just to abandon it altogether. I would think carefully about whether that’s what you want and think before you post.

What transparent moderation? There's no consistency to it whatsoever.
