Excellent LARP but I think the one about the "giving up on marathon training (3:30) ultimatum from wife" was a bit better and more believable.

Lemme help you for next time. If this were true, she would have greeted you at the door with the kids. She would gently nudge them out the door and say to you, "now go again with these two in the jogging stroller so I can get a break". ::Door Slams:: Then you come back to the boards wondering if the accidental double would kill your training plan for a...wait for it...3:45 goal marathon.

Now, if you really did forget to get something for your fictional wife on Mother's Day, that's on you and nobody you're seeking attention from on LetsRun who tells you differently is being honest. I just hope you got something for the person who matters...your landlord.

That was true yesterday.

But ended up being a good sport about it. She's super cool. Laughing and saying, "I can't believe you forgot."

I didn't' lie. I fessed up. "I"m so sorry. Let's do a date night Monday night. I'll get my mom to babysit."

Actually, if he has kids under 5 and they are in preschool or daycare, the kids made Mother’s Day presents last week. So he has no excuse for forgetting.
