This thread was started before the press release came out. It had the title of, "says they will finally announce their first competitions and athletes on May 21."
Yes, they did mention at the event that you don't have to be using PEDs to compete. So for a $500K first place prize, it seems to me like the winner might be someone clean so long as there's no sanctions for participating.
They've delayed this for a while, changing the dates and failing to provide a concrete one. Perhaps it's a ponzi scheme to lure in money then run off because they'll take a loss if it does end up running. Can't be too many "top" athletes committing anyways. Yes, the "natty" games are more of a circus and more doped/raided up anyways.
Depends on how much they can bankroll it. You don’t think some 10.1 young guys would give it a go? Or some 3:57 milers in their late 20s?
It would be interesting to see if a 10.1 guy or a 3:57 guy can get very close to world records with PEDs.
They would be the same level after. All pros dope.
One other thing: I don't remember this mentioned in the video, but their email lists these events:
Swimming: 50m & 100m Freestyle, 50m & 100m Butterfly Athletics: 100m Sprint, 100m/110m Hurdles, "Sprint showcase" Strength: SnatchClean & Jerk
So the fact that they list 100m and 110m hurdles indicates they'll be having both men's and women's races. They also say that winners of each event will win $500K on top of any world record bonuses with additional prize money going down the ranks. Not looking like distance or field will be included.
Unfortunate there will be no distance events. I'm very curious what someone going openly to the gills could do in the 800/mile/5k. Also, I feel like it will be significantly easier to drop time in distance events than in sprint events. No clue why they added hurdles, which is 90% technique when you get to the 42s.
They wouldnt be any faster than anyone is now.In fact they probably wouldnt be as fast, because they wouldnt be super talented in the first place. Doping only works well if an athlete already has the talent, and most talented athletes wont admit to doping.

Potential candidates would be not too old yet, but recently banned for a long time.
Somebody like Asinga (or Knighton if banned by CAS) would be perfect, or - if including distance - people like Kandie, Katir, Kipruto, .... e.g., dopers that just went a bit over the line, but will then go all out with PEDs.
Yes, they should make Asinga a $$$$ offer. Now with his coach banned, he'll be out for quite a while. A young 9.8 sprinter while microdosing, and then going full-blast, that would be very interesting.
I see an article today where it says that Australia’s James Magnussen, a two-time 100m freestyle world champion, will compete in the Enhanced Games next year in Las Vegas. The event takes place in less than 1 year - May 21-24.
They do have a good PR team. Billed as a revolution in sport and science, the event aims to embrace what organizers call “superhumanity” – a future where pharmaceutical and technological enhancement is normalized in elite competition. But while promoters cast it as a bold break from the past, critics are already raising alarms about safety, fairness and the fundamental integrity of sport.
“We are creating a new category of human excellence,” the Enhanced Games’ promotional materials declare. “A world where performance-enhancing drugs are used safely, openly, and under medical supervision.”
PS. Here is their press release. I don't understand what it is saying. Did one of their athletes alread break a WR and get $1 million?

The announcement also featured a world-first: Olympic swimmer Kristian Gkolomeev broke the long-standing 50m freestyle world record with a time of 20.89 seconds, surpassing the 2009 benchmark held by Cesar Cielo. He also set a second historic milestone: becoming the fastest man in history to swim the 50m freestyle in jammers, with a time of 21.03, beating the former record of 21.04 held by Caeleb Dressel.
In recognition, Gkolomeev was awarded a $1 million prize - the first payout of its kind under the Enhanced Games' new athlete incentive model.

Australian Olympian James Magnussen embarked on a months-long regime of drug-taking in pursuit of Enhanced Games glory. He was beaten to the big prize.
What an embarrassing display from him - to unretire from this and make a big fuss about how the doping rules ain't sh*t only to go way slower than the olympic qualifying time, let alone the world record
And some charismaless greek dude with a pedostache came along and then cashed that check to rub salt in that you just delegitimized your career for nothing... ouch
Now to talk about the real alarm to the sport - Greek dude was 5th at the olympics - took over half a second off his pb to sneak past the textile wr - he got past the supersuited record also wearing one himself on the first go (why? Who cares? Well it got him 100000 but it's weird).
So someone finishing mid pack at the olympics if allowed to go 1970s level juicing with 2025 knowledge smashes wrs confirmer wow mind blown - why did we want to revive this?
They use the cringe "superhuman" to refer to the doping lol lance armstrong probably feeling the weirdest emotions
They were originally supposed to hold qualifiers in late 2024, but I guess that passed. Per Wikipedia, they have announced some Olympic swimmers and bobsledders as part of their leadership but no track athletes yet. Seems like on May 21 they will announce "introduction of new athletes" and the venues.

So he went full blast doping and ended up going slower after doping.
