i try more miles but the workouts must be more for short distances because i will run some 800m and 1500m in early summer
If you are naturally a shorter distance runner, double 5k + 1 minute is pretty tough. I was best at 3000m and my 10k was closer to double 5k + 2 min (15:22 and 32:20 when young; 17:30 and 37:06 in mid-50s, which was a state single age record).
