People have been saying this every year since like 2016 or 2017. But then he's run a new PR every year except for 2022. So even the last two seasons he's run a PR. Eventually he'll stop, but so far he's run a new indoor PR this year so I wouldn't be shocked if he runs a new outdoor 1500m PR this year.

My friend, we agree 100% on this issue.
Most overrated runner in history. He will just win races with no serious competition. He was an early starter, who reached his peak at age 19. After this just decline with some lucky wins. Never had and never will held any real world record like the mile. Slower finisher than some real man from my country were 60 years ago. 1:50 Kerr owns him now. Slow 5k PB which shows his real level at the distance, Cheptegei much superior (also he doesn't race him anymore, because Chep is looking for serious competition).

I hope he improves because that means faster times for Hocker, Nuguse, Kerr, and the rest of the field. He is the one everyone chases, if he slows down, who is going to pick up the pace?

I would call it the annual Jakob, etc. but there is actually at least 3 of these each year. It gets old by the end of the year but now it is like the first robin of spring. Also very stupid.

He just ran an incredible 3:45 and 3:29 indoors and he's healthy and remember this quote. FILIP INGEBRIGTSEN: "Jakob is loaded with training. I’m dreading what he’ll come up with this summer.”

If Jalob retires now he’d have as many 1500 golds as former greats Walker and Snell… and those ‘losers’ couldn’t sniff 3:30, never mind sub 3:30, could they? Lol
