I cut out the heel counter of my old NB Supercomp Trainers and use them as my run errand shoes. Just love the rocker sole and fuel cell foam even compressed.
You're not an ex runner. You will always be a RUNNER!
A lil more info,
What you are doing is far more acceptable and justifiable than some 300 pound person who has never ran before just walking around in them. Atleast you have a running background.
2 months ago, i became one of the 1st people in the world (not just the usa, but the world) to receive the new streakfly and vaporfly prototypes. Again, when big 300 pound ppl who have never ran a day in their life just walk around in any high-tech racing flats, it just seems like waste of beautiful technology and innovation. Decades of laboratory research creating these racing flats didn't go towards that invention being wasted by some slob to mush around in them all day.
Has/have ran? You serious bro?
God, who cares? It's a message board not a language lesson.
As a former runner a very long time ago and teacher veteran, I am always looking for the perfect shoe for standing and walking (sometimes jogging) shoe. I always wondered about the super shoe.
The nurse doing my blood pressure, etc at my annual physical was wearing a pair of super shoes. We briefly discussed the shoes. She was upset that they cost so much money but didn't seem durable whatsoever. I explained the purpose of the shoes, and it made complete sense to her. The idiot clerk at the shoe store told her super shoes would be ideal for her because she spends so much time on her feet.

At the risk of inviting even more ridicule, why do you say that clerk was an idiot?
And I'm surprised at how durable my Mizunos are/were. 3 years - usually 40km of walking per week. But I am aware that many supershoes are not durable.
There was a biomechanics Phd student at BYU who did his research on whether supershoes could help cardiac rehab patients build fitness via walking. (Spoiler alert: Yes they can.)

All I know is....I love the feel of walking in these shoes. If all kinds of research went into them for running, a) how can they be bad for walking, and b) might they be very likely great for walking?
