There's a systematic attack on sources of truth. News media, fact-checkers, universities, independent government agencies, and the scientific/medical communities. Why? So that the State aka the Donald (and Truth Social) can become the the source of "truth".
Before people come in here to claim that the link between autism and vaccines has long been debunked, let me say this: IT HAS NOT.
Some time in the 90s, a researcher authored a scientific paper that did not pass peer review. Thats it. Nothing was debunked. That a paper does not pass peer review does not invalidate the hypothesis. The media has been lying to you guys all along.
If you're referring to "Dr" Wakefield, then it has been debunked. Thoroughly.
Of the children who were reported to have autism, it was found that three of them had not been diagnosed with autism at all. Only one was confirmed to have autism.
While the paper claimed that all twelve children involved in the research were "previously normal," a review revealed that five of these children had documented pre-existing developmental concerns prior to their reported regression.
Wakefield received financial compensation from Justice, Awareness and Basic Support (JABS), an organization that sought to produce evidence for a lawsuit against vaccine manufacturers.
Additionally, Wakefield held a patent for a new measles vaccine, which positioned him to gain financially by discrediting the established MMR vaccine produced by his competitors.
More importantly, the Wakefield paper was found to have been a fraud. He faked his data, and his peers caught him.
Sure it was. We have no idea what's causing this explosion in autism....but we do know it's not vaccines. That's obvious BS
That’s how science works. There are any number of possible causes, so you investigate one, and try to determine whether or not it is possible.
Dozens of studies have found no link between vaccines and autism. The one study that did find a link was conclusively proven to not be a study at all but a fraud.
Why is everyone downvoting this? They don't want to know. I bet the cause is already known but we are not being told. Which means the powerful don't want it know. Clearly it's environmental.
We are downvoting because we do not trust RFK Jr.
I am curious what definition of “the powerful” you have that excludes the Kennedy heir with a cabinet position.

It's pretty obvious that the explosion in autism is caused by massive overexposure to Donald Trump on The Apprentice
The Apprentice started in 2004. The explosive rise in autism diagnoses started around 2010 (primarily in children aged 5-7 years old). These were kids that had been exposed to Trump their entire lives.
Trump's presence on The Apprentice ended in 2015. Autism diagnoses in 5 to 7 year olds peaked around 2022, as infants were no longer exposed to Trump on The Apprentice on a weekly basis.
p < 0.0001. Perfect correlation. Trump causes autism and is likely carcinogenic as well.

not accurate in the slightest. and if you can't be honest what the story is how can i trust your theory.
was an adult GI doctor who was dabbling in pediatric work on this study.
allegedly recruited study participants openly.
allegedly falsified their medical histories.
supposedly did not follow the process he'd told the ethics committee, or consistently get informed consent, when dealing with children, and did stuff like lumbar punctures and colonoscopies to them.
supposedly no one could repeat his results.
the suggested answer supposedly was use this test kit.
he supposedly had a conflict of interest where he stood to make millions off the test kits.
was supposedly also lined up to serve as a paid expert on a pair of lawsuits.
lancet retracted his article.
UK malpractice investigators found he'd been dishonest and he was yanked from the licensed doctor list in the UK.
I need to amend my understanding and position on RFK Jr's comment about knowing the cause of Autism by September. I see that he made it during Trump's insane N. Korean type cabinet meeting. This is where each of the cabinet people and Musk lie to Trump's face to flatter him and impress him.
Therefore, RFK Jr was just talking out of his azz and there will be no September finding.
More importantly, the Wakefield paper was found to have been a fraud. He faked his data, and his peers caught him.
Yeah this isn’t some paper where we are arguing about methodology and stats. This is someone making up data to make money.
you can see why Trump and company think this is an okay way to do research.
trump backed wakefield even after the retraction and i think the story goes he can be seen in 2016 inauguration photos.
trump is using RFK as a grief shield for something he already believes in.
kind of like trump was a USFL owner who encouraged his league to sue NFL for antitrust, long before he tried to get people to abandon the league over kneeling.
Sure, RFK, Jr. is trying to spearhead the efforts, but that’s not what will get it done.
We have a preternaturally gifted chief executive. For years, I’ve been aware that a lot of people have been impressed with his “natural ability” in science, and that doctors are awed at how much he knows about medical issues. A lot of people have been telling him, “Sir, you know more than the doctors do.” OP seems to acknowledge this with the chosen tweet.
So RFK’s team will be able to provide scant evidence but will call a press conference to try to save face. At that time, the divinely inspired “I alone can fix it” leader will hijack the press conference and start spitballing ideas in the middle of it.
While doing so, he will unearth a beautiful … it really will be beautiful, some say one of the most beautiful ideas ever voiced … scientific discovery, one that will overturn decades of scientific orthodoxy.
My wife is an SLP and works in schools. She does life skills with Autistic children. Her department head is in her seventies and started working in schools in the late 70s. She said that she sees the same number of kids in the sped program today as they did 40-50 years ago. The big change has been that back in the 70s and 80s, the Autism diagnosis was very narrow and was mostly reserved for the most severe cases of kids who were nonverbal or had severe issues with stimming or sensory processing such that they could not be in a classroom setting. High functioning kids who could function well enough in class with other kids were never given an Autism diagnosis. It was not until the 90s that diagnosticians began considering a spectrum of behaviors and developmental issues and started broadening the diagnosis. In 2013, the DSM-5 adopted the Autism Spectrum Disorder. So, in the sped departments, they basically have been seeing the same numbers of kids who are non-verbal or have other issues that make it impossible for them to be in a regular classroom. But the number of kids who would have just been identified as having a behavioral issue or developmental delay are now getting a diagnosis for Autism.
I've got a high functioning autistic kid and let me tell you...when people tell me "have you tried this" or someone else says, "have you tried that"....it's just exhausting. To much BS is out there on this stuff. Austism is an every growing spectrum that people are place on for their behaviors or social interactions. Some cases are pretty obvious, while it also serves as a place to put other diagnosis such as aspergers. You don't hear of that one much anymore, because it was placed on the spectrum in 2013 in that medical diagnosis book for insurance purposes as people diagnosed with that condition could not get full insurance benefits. What's the name of that book? I think it was the DSM-4. Anyway.....the last time I looked there were 274 types of autism. How can you get a cure for that? Here's a hypothesis and it's mine....women who previously took antidepressants in the SSRIs categories previously in their lifetime have an increased chance of having a child that will be place on the spectrum. They became more readily and used in the late 1980s. Well when did autism or conditions placed on the spectrums increase? As a long-time teacher the number of cases is increasing every single year. I'm just saying and Big Pharma does not want that one investigated....even if it's worth investigating.
Bud, being on the autism spectrum is most likely genetic more than anything. I am actually diagnosed, while my father is and his father was very likely on the spectrum (but will never get a formal diagnosis). None of our mothers took anti-depressants or anything like that.
Additionally, the idea that autism is something bad that needs to be "cured" is damaging in itself and insanely ignorant. Being on the spectrum has many benefits that make the world tick and ASD people get work done that "normal" simply can't fathom ever doing with such dedication, precision, and detail. Neurotypical people are exhausting and illogical in their own way.

This explosion in autism has gone on for 4 decades. There is a clear and undeniable correlation with the increase in childhood vaccines given in America and this explosion. We are supposed to believe that nobody can determine the cause of this increase -- but we can rule out vaccines. And get hit with the correlation is not causation mantra.
Why is everyone downvoting this? They don't want to know. I bet the cause is already known but we are not being told. Which means the powerful don't want it know. Clearly it's environmental.

Kennedy has a net worth of @ $10 million and has spent his career challenging the powerful billionaires (except on Palestine, of course). He is not a billionaire oligarch. Notice how the Oligarch owned MSM has repeatedly smeared him.

There has been an increase in internet for 4 decades There has been an increase in air travel for 4 decades There has been an increase in cell phones for 4 decades There has been an increase in boba tea for 4 decades There has been an increase in Donald Trump engagement for 4 decades Do they all cause autism?
