i was surprised to see benjamin adams and hayden boaz in the second heat. Didn't Adams run 9:02 at 5000+ feet? Doesn't that convert to like a 8:42? Hayden Boaz ran a 14:13 5k?

3 sets of siblings in the 3200, that's gonna be a first

If I counted correctly, there are 39 boys entered. That is too many for a 3200.

They always over-enter the invitational heat. You can see how much it's affected racing over the last few years - the leaders take it out in 60 flat to try and string things out, which ends up sinking their own race.

Kids still need to make their drops. Some of the athletes are entered in 3 invite races. We know they will choose only one, which is why this is the accepted entries list, not the heat sheets. Changes coming...

just high school kids, or anybody. If I was asked what is the most exciting and pure of all of the various levels of sport, I would reply “high school.”

Girls 4x800 - JSerra 8:53

Boys 4x800 - Jesuit CA 7:41. JSerra 7:42. JSerra was in the lead until the Jesuit anchor outkicked the JSerra anchor at the end

Jesuit's anchor is a sophomore who just closed in 1:49 by the way.

And the JSerra anchor, a junior, also ran 1:49 as a soph.

The Open Girls 3200 was won in 10:40--20 sub-11. Rated Girls 3200 in 10:36 with 26 sub 11.
