Every sane person would hate rainy season training in Oregon
Every sane person would hate winter training in Flagstaff, and having to drive an hour to do a track workout (with nowhere to poop), and having to drive to Phoenix and get on long plane ride for every single race
I guess the only logical place to train would be San Diego, yet oddly you don't see any distance runners based there. I guess they just get it done wherever they choose to locate.
No Boston just sucks to train. New Balance wants a group near their headquarters and no one wants to live and train in Boston.
the "8 months" you're beefing about correspond from the end of the olympics to an indoor season in progress she may have zero interest in. ncaa indoor isn't even done yet.
if your focus is on US trials that's august and then worlds is pretty late in september this year. worrying about some newfangled but very very early meet in late march might not sync up with your goals and timeframe. have you ever done a schedule for a sport for yourself? you work backwards from the endgame. my experience the years i signed up for popular early competitions the endgame got derailed.
in terms of is she hurt, she either starts up at some point in april or may or not. if not then there are some monsons.
in terms of thought process you judge that at the end. some of the folks doing well now chose to emphasize this part of the season and not the end of outdoor. some may find they do better at these meets now you want to make a big deal out of, but are tired or hurt when the money is truly on the table.

WRONG. Boston was/is the most competitive place in the country. It has the highest concentration of good runners, which is great for keeping you solid.

Boston is a nightmare for distance runners. Weather sucks , too much pavement and too expensive for most runners at the pro level. New Balance has never invested in a full team with support.

Boston is a dump for distance runners. The NB group a a small women’s only group with bad social media and no hype at all.

New Balance Boston is exciting as watching paint dry. Maybe it’s the lack of personality of Mark Coogan. Either way they group is bla
