Let me be clear again: you cannot compete successfully as a pro without doping. So as long as US pros do not go full Houlihan, I wont raise a fuss. I do not expect them to compete clean. But that does not mean we have to be stupid and promote fantasies. McKay's best 5000m in college with the covid red shirt was 15:42. Her best 3000m, at good old BU, was 8:54. Her best 1500m, 4:11. But suddenly she goes to NB Boston and a couple of years later can run 14:45 and compete for Olympic spots at 1500m? Please. We all know exactly what is going on here, and it certainly isn't bc she was undertrained or has the latent late bloomer gene you yahoos invented to explain this nonsense. It is bc now she is taking the chemistry. That is the bane of this sport. Give a college 15:42 runner epo and testosterone and they can run 14:45. Give a college 4:11 runner the same and they can run sub-4.
Which is again par for the course. But I am warning NB Boston and their coach they are repeating the Bowerman mistake of making it way too blatant.
