I’ve been hoping you or someone from your team would provide an update. Has Gault reached out to Mu or her agent for an interview request?
Yes, multiple times. No response.
That said, I don't know why Rojo would think Athing Mu would race indoors. She hasn't run a single indoor race since Bobby Kersee began coaching her in 2023. And Kersee's other big star, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, hasn't run a serious indoor race since turning pro.

I honestly believe Mu for sure and McGlaughlin maybe really do not like the sport or competing in it
They both were simply so talented and good at it? That they did it or still do it.
it provided a launch vehicle to other multi millions
Athing Mu is happy, healthy, and training hard with Sydney. Getting engaged recently seems to have significantly lifted her spirits.
I would not be surprised to see Athing break her American record in the 800 this summer.
Source? Sure seems like complete wishful thinking to me, given that the last time Mu raced 7 months ago she finished 5th in the 800 and did not break 2 minutes.

She, and other members of her training group, have posted quite a bit on social media over the past month about how their training is going. Athing is happy and doing the workouts. No injury problems.
The fact that Athing had a bad race 7 months ago when she was coming back from an injury has nothing at all to do with how she is doing now.
Rojo, you mentioned on the reaction show that you might ask Shelby about the Hiltz homophobic thing AGAIN today. Please don't do that. It would be so awkward.
I agree. Not that it's bad to expand on the topic, just not there. Talk about it when you get her on the podcast.

Except Sydney holds the WR in the 400M hurdles (broke it twice), the 12th fastest 400M all time, has 4 gold OLY medals (2 in 2024) and 3 gold WC medals.
Mu is tied for the 15th fastest 800M, has 2 gold OLY medals from 4 years ago and 1 gold WC medal.
Yes, Sydney does not run a ton of events every year, but when she does she totally crushes it.
Mu's 2024 year was a complete embarrassment. She literally only ran the Trials (and we all know what happened there) and Holloway, which was even more embarrassing, running 2:00.29, finishing fifth, running out of gas the last 200 meters, which showed how completely out of shape she was. Then crickets. Think about that and please let me know the last time Sydney or Jakob or Keely bombed out of their specialty event with that type of performance. It doesn't happen.
It's like Crash Davis says to Nuke LaLoosh, "Your shower shoes have fungus on them. You'll never make it to the bigs with fungus on your shower shoes. Think classy, you'll be classy. If you win 20 in the show, you can let the fungus grow back and the press'll think you're colorful. Until you win 20 in the show, however, it means you are a slob."
When Mu has both the hardware and the records, she'll be able to get away with anything she wants. But until then she's just going to look like a petulant child who threw away her gift. She really is Nuke LaLoosh - In Bull Durham he asks Crash, How come you don't like me? And Crash replies: Because you don't respect yourself, which is your problem. But you don't respect the game, and that's my problem. You got a gift. Ebby Calvin LaLoosh: What do I got? Crash Davis: You got a gift. When you were a baby, the Gods reached down and turned your right arm into a thunderbolt. You got a Hall-of-Fame arm, but you're bleeping it away.
Mu has a gift and she's throwing it away. It's certainly her right and her agency but we don't have to pretend that she's just secretive.

Really agree strongly with that last sentence, well stated.

It was Gault post 3k and Shelby responded perfectly. Should go into PR next

You are incorrect about Sydney not running serious indoor races. Sydney ran several indoor 60MH races to fine tune her hurdling technique a few years ago.

Levrone is fine tuning her indoor hurdling technique. 2025 sounds so futuristic.

That's not true. They weren't serious races. She just ran those races because of a obligation to New Balance who is her sponsor. Sydney didn't need to travel 3000 miles to run 60 meters.

I think you’re right. Both have amazing good given talent and just don’t have passion for the sport of track & field.
