I wanted to bring this up in this forum because this is where 'true runners' can discuss running related topics. In all seriousness, and i can go either way just want to have a honest conversation, why do people really care that Shelby doped? My question does not apply to running coaches at that level (competing coaches) or her peers competing, instead to the other 99% of people why do we care? She isn't impacting our daily lives, training, 9-5 jobs, kids, etc..? Why do we even care, we are just consumers of entertainment that she and other's provide. I am starting to feel like its more of a band-wagon effect where it just sounds good because its not the right thing to do. I get that its not but I just can't come to a conclusion why its worth caring about to the point of snubbing her name? Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGuire all doped and MLB ratings were at a all time high. Lance Armstrong doped cycling was at a all time high. One could argue even after they were found guilty it catapulted the sport to the mainstream viewership, so it had a positive impact on the sport. Its all entertainment, and I'm not saying we should be okay there are cheaters, but outrage?
Shelby just focus on your training. You can totally beat Nikki if you just focus on running and not what the bottom dwellers on LRC think.
Why do people care about genocide? Because even a wrong committed against someone else is still a wrong. Burrito lady cheated, which is wrong, so I will think of it as such.
Outside of your comparison of T & F to the criminal justice system, I agree with what you're saying. Again, can go either way but what you're saying makes sense. As a fellow runner myself we all remember those tough grueling workouts and to see someone cut corners in the end can be demoralizing to your hardwork

Did you just compare T & F to genocide? This sums up the point I made in my post. People overreact to something a track athlete did. Your reply proves it
Because people love to hate that’s why and have nothing better to do but cry online
Because it's a lie and i'd like to think we are a moral society. Her defense was absurd and insulting to fans and competitors . Sport should be clean and healthy, and a professional should be an ambassador, not a using, abusing loser. I don't hate her, i feel sorry for her. Yes, she's "done her time", but doping doesn't go away.
Right. The only people attacking her are trans men who are jealous that she's faster than they are. Even though they are men, they are slow as F men who are too slow to compete in their own division.
