Grant Fisher rare workout, as in he rarely runs workouts?
At the beginning of the video, his coach said, "Honestly, this workout, it's the only time we've done it all year."
Grant doesn’t have the look in his eye nor the form alignment in his limbs to be a 26:xx and 12:xx athlete cleanest. He fails every litmus test of such an athlete. Paul chelimo and Bernard lagat are true world class athletes as they present to my eyes both the look of one and the physical formation and alignment as well.
It really is very easy to tell the real clean good athlete from the real dirty doped one.
What's the big deal? With his credentials this should be another day in the office, or the idiom of your choosing. Or, to be more precise, like having a snack and a cup of coffee. Yum yum yum.
It doesn’t sound right too. Josh Kerr’s rhythm was so much stronger, consistent and guarded than Grant and Sam’s who both don’t present to my eyes enough poise and agility, if at all, in the wind and in symphony with all the other elements like gravity, their super shoes and the circumference of the bend. The El G workout video showed a similar workout to this and you can see the way he moved is so much more superior to Grant and even Josh. Grant’s running doesn’t demonstrate mastery of the physical elements for a physical sport but yet he runs so fast. This cannot happen and must be due to other factors like PEDs.

"Hicham El Guerrouj could eat a candy bar and run 63 seconds."
This messageboard is just complete garbage these days, half the comments arguing about grammar the other half some weird PED & Josh Kerr ramblings.
As for the actual workout, seems like 2K at ~5K pace, the 800s ~10K, and the 1600 at ~3K. Excited to see him and Cole Hocker race at Millrose in a couple of weeks, the 3K AR is definitely in play

El G was true masterclass. My praise for him is as effusive as the songs of songs. There is a YouTube video of El G in Ifrane 1999 or 2000, knocking out 2:29-2:30 Ks with 30s rest can you believe it? 10 reps in all. Look at his arms, his belly, his balance is all at pinpoint equilibrium like a finely tuned pendulum. Compared to Grant? No comparison sh&t
1 - rare that this workout was run a year ago. 2 - rare that Mike is allowing it to be recorded. Go back all the way to Grants workouts in High School. Other than a random FT workout at Stanford, a random here or there BTC workout, there’s not a lot of GF workouts.
I don't understand your first point? Why do you say this was "run a year ago"? Did it say something in the video? I didn't watch the whole thing, so I could be wrong, but was only posted 4 hours ago (on 1/28), right?
Also, for people who don't have time to watch the whole video, here is the workout
2000m (hard effort) in 5:08
4x800m (mild effort) in 2:06, 2:09, 2:08, 2:08
1600m (hard effort) in 4:00
p.s. He had "full recovery" of 5-8 minute rest between sets
"Outside inside" is wrong. The caption of the video says it's a workout for his buildup to the 2025 track season. At the end of video, Fisher talks about opening his season with a 1500; he's referencing the 1500 at this weekend's New Balance Indoor Grand Prix. His first race last year was the 2-mile at Millrose.

it's a big deal bc it's a workout you would never be able to touch with a ten foot pole

you would do that workout in...5:40, then the 800s in 2:14-2:12, then the last mile in 4:16. That's why it's a big deal, because that is WORLDS away from what Grant just did

How do you know he did it clean actually? Don’t give me the usual ‘ why would he be dirty’ bland replies
Have you ever seen that meme format where there's a bell curve graph? It shows a dumb-looking troglodyte at one end expressing an opinion, a crying normie at the peak of the curve expressing the opposite opinion, but then a smart-looking guy at the far end expressing the same opinion as the troglodyte. I always think of that format when people start correcting people's grammar. If you can understand the meaning of the communication, the grammar is fine.

8.1 mmol lactate reading after 3rd 2:08 (Mike: I want 8 so it's perfect)
