Super impressive racing from her, especially with her range as a great steepler. I feel like she’s under-established in the 1500 and we may see her pursue that more this year. But who knows! The women’s steeple is in for a crazy year in 2025 with Coburn and Frerichs returning, but looks like you also have to run 3:55 to make a 1500 team now.
I have a feeling Gear won't be running the Steeplechase anymore. I don't think she liked it, she wants to be an 800/1500 runner. i also think thats the reason she left NAZ Elite, they wanted her to run longer distances. now she trains full time with Nikki Hiltz.

It would be incredibly stupid if she gives up on the steeplechase. She is a USA champion. She has zero chance at making USA teams in the 800 and 1500.

You’re right. So incredibly stupid of her not to race the steeplechase indoors. Even if you hate her chances, you she has more of a chance to make the USA indoor teams in the 8 of the 15 than she does making the indoor steeplechase.
