Sure
If you believe Luke’s version his mom walked 110 miles from Nazareth to Bethlehem before the birth then over 400 miles into Egypt when Herod took off after him.
what’s a few miles on Xmas morning?

Planning to do a track workout
Assuming I find a time when it’s been 3hrs since I pounded a bunch of food, yea.

Of course she did. She had "cheater" Sandals.

This question is directed to the minority here who actually run. Usually I've been taking a day off for Christmas, but I think I'll run tomorrow since I have a Febuary half marathon that I want to keep up weekly mileage for and it'll only take like an hour, and that really isn't bad.
Christmas morning here ran down to the grass track in beautiful 70 degree weather. Did 12x1min with 30 sec walk 30 sec jog recovery. In lane8 of course. Merry Christmas!

I have run at least three miles on every Christmas for the last 32+ years.
Not reason to stop now.
Actually, I have run every day since August 1992. Yep, may be a little OCD - lol!
Probably not. Wednesday is usually a 12-13 miler, a medium long run. I think I can take the day off.
Impressive. Know a guy who recently ended his streak, every day since the late 70s. Exactly why I'm not a streak runner, I would be obsessed with it. I saw a video a couple years ago about the guy with the longest or second longest recorded running streak, he was ending it hence the video. He had been in the hospital having some kind of surgery yet here he was in his gown, pushing the equipment attached to him, and "running" up and down a hallway in the hospital to get his run in. He also had a few other crazy stories about getting a run in as you probably do as well. I like my one rest day a week.
Can someone provide a link to the Coe-Ovett running on Christmas story. In short, Coe doubled on Christmas because he knew Ovett would. Overt later told Coe he tripled that day.
Christmas runs are one of my favorites. It seems like everyone I pass has a smile and a greeting. A good vibe.
The drop in traffic is a gift all its own, too :)
Hell yes I will.
Gonna go out 3x. Cause that’s what seb coe would want

i'm averaging 30k a day right now, all doubles. sunday 35k, monday 34k, today 26k, tomorrow is workout day might be about 25 again. pretty sure i am the fittest guy on letsrun.com and could beat every one of you lazy slackers in a 'thon 🏃♂️😎
Not a single person who uses the term "thon" can break 2:30 in the marathon.
I'm on the fence about whether to run. On the one hand, I don't have to work, and that means I have lots of extra time. On the other hand, they're predicting 1.15 inches of rain (high 44 degrees). The next rainiest day in the 10-day forecast is only about half that. I'm working 12/26 - 12/27, but they should be pretty laid back days so I may just skip the wet slog tomorrow. We'll see. Maybe I'll do my shortest planned run of the week (4 mi).
I definitely will - good chance to run in the sunlight for a change atm.
On the other hand nursing a bad hamstring for a few weeks, trying to balance resting and not letting it seize up.
A classic runner's dilemma. Merry Christmas everyone

Likewise, I'm just going to play it by ear - if there's a break in the rain, maybe just light showers, I'll give it a go.
yup me too. at 7:30m AM. waiting for her to get up right now.. favorite run of the year!!!!
I’m going for two runs today. I don’t usually double but I thought since it’s Christmas and I love running why not!
