The Allie and Colleen types make money on social through creating unnecessary drama and overdoing their issues that many deal with but do so with grace. The histrionics get clicks. It's not for the good of others. They monetize their supposed issues and then make them ongoing even if not dealing with them anymore.
It’s cool how the moderation policy here allows you to accuse people of doping based on nothing but national origin, but not to mention when an athlete has actually been convicted of an anti-doping rules violation.

Sorry to hear that you are no longer competitive at Parkrun. We all suffer performance declines via age and a lack of talent. No need to be nasty towards ladies that are faster than you.
Re: Brooks - I think it’s a possibility. Maybe this is a bit of an apples to oranges comparison, but they re-signed Jess McClain this year after she was away from the brand for several years. I could also see brands like Saucony or Under Armour being interested if Allie will be doing more on the track and roads.

So, you think Allie is washed and Coburn is fresh as a daisy? I 100% guarantee that Allie O will run a faster steeple than Coburn in 2025.
It's easier for Coburn to get within 10 seconds of her current PR than it is for Ostrander to PR by 10 seconds. One thing you are forgetting is that Ostrander has TERRIBLE hurdle form.
Have I adjusted my approach? Yes, but I am not a professional and also don't have a nutrition sponsorship. I simply can't be taking multiple gels every single run (because of cost) and sometimes I do need to "just get my training in" when I have a 12 mile workout while also having an 8 a.m. work meeting and was up with my newborn multiple times during the night.
There’s just not a lot of sponsorship money on the trails or on the track (unless you are making Olympic teams and/or have exceptional good looks). The roads are where the most money is if she could get down to being a 2:25-ish marathoner, which based on her 5k-10k times she should be capable of.
What are you even talking about? Do you think that pretty much every runner out there doesn't have the same kinds of fears and doubts she does? She is just honest about it, and in a way that is so hilarious. Her posts on SM are so validating.
If you haven't noticed, EDs are a prevalent issue with young female runners. Allie O., by being open about her struggle, has helped so many people. There have always been women who admit that they had unhealthy eating habits, but Allie is the first to share what the road back to health looks like and how to get back to running strong while properly fueling and how hard of a mental challenge that can be if you have had it drilled in you that lighter=faster. She is really an awesome force for good in women's running.
So you believe that she is not good enough to be competitive on the world level either way, but then knock her for making what is described by you as a better financial decision for herself. I get the analysis (whether it is Allie's thought process or not), but don't understand the negativity behind it (like saying that a brand would sign her because they like headaches). If this is what she tries to do for the reasons you mentioned, and the endorsements work out, it sounds pretty smart business to me.

I agree. I was thinking the same thing.
Brooks would have seen that “Wow, Allie really threw it down this year! A fantastic PR in the Steeplchase, 7th at the Trials, AND good road performances, AND decent results on the trails, AND an influencer? Let’s sign her again…”. (My opinion of their thoughts from their glass tower).

Brooks is the likeliest possibility. The real ones know she showed herself putting on a new pair of running shoes in her last YouTube video, and they were Brooks. Are you guys even real fans??
