That's because sexual dimorphism doesn't apply to music. "Trans kids" don't want to "be able to be themselves," they want impose their sexual dysphoria upon the rest of humanity, rather than accept who/what they are. We shouldn't indulge the "trans" anymore than the people who society to accept them as cats, dogs, penuins, etc.

And what needs are those? What need to you have to chose someone else's gender? What need to you have to try to invalidate every major medical body in the world? What need could you have that has no effect on yourself? I'll tell you what need that is. It is the need to be right. It is the need for someone different than you to hurt. It is the need for cis-supremacy. It is hatred and bigotry. That is all it is.

Also, it's called gender dysphoria, not sexual dimorphism. It has nothing at all to do with sex. And your so called 'sexual dimorphism' doesn't apply to sports either.

There is a difference. Dogs, cats, and penguins are not humans. Boys and girls and everything in between are humans.

Wow. You were quick to diagnose him and many of us. But you sure don't like when we do the same.

"Gender" is something foreign languages have, the word has no value other than an euphemism to avoid "sex" by prudes. It is a fool's errand to agree to use the Enemy's language, thus "Pro-Life" not "Anti-Choice," etc. So, "sex/ual" dyphoria not "gender."

We have had mixed gender races for a long, long time. Almost all road races 5k and up are mixed gender (in fact women's marathoning has devolved into running in separate packs of male pacers/domestiques and not really racing each other at major marathons). But I remember running dual meets that had both girls and boys in high school, especially in cross country and the two mile. A girl, who later went onto be NCAA Champion won those races outright sometimes. The reality is no one really cares if someone, man or woman, runs a 21:20 5k in high school. It's an objectively good time. But nobody, man or woman, is going to sign a NIL deal, or even get a scholarship, with that time.

And that's the whole problem here. Everyone thinks that there's the jackpot of not having to pay for college, which has become prohibitively expensive over the past 30 years, in athletics. No your daughter who is the 6th woman on her XC team that qualified for States as a senior isn't going to get a scholarship to run in college. At best, they might get recruited to run at a non-scholarship DIII school or walks into a DII school. And from a financial perspective, she's probably better off running road races where she can win and cash $100 every once in a while than she is on the college team.

The notion that the .01% of people who are trans and want to run on the XC team are going to take over women's running because men are faster and destroy it is asinine. 1. To be trans, you have to be on hormones. Reducing testosterone levels and increasing estrogen levels is a performance deenhancing drug. So if the athlete ran an a 20 minute 5k, they'll run a 23 minute 5k after a year of estrogen.

And even if they somehow managed to run say 16-17 minute 5ks needed to be competitive in college, I think it's pretty doubtful that any college would actively recruit and offer a scholarship to such an athlete. To do so is to do a few things: 1. Needlessly invite controversy which can harm the school's fundraising ability. 2. Cost the school money because of the need for increased security thanks to unhinged people (see San Jose State volleyball, after that no school is going to willingly go down the same road).

Now I have no doubt that some epic troll, perhaps from these very message boards, will eventually claim to be a trans woman, even though they're not on hormones, show up at some race and win it. And then we will have endless pages about whether they should get to keep the prize money. Or why they didn't register in the nonbinary category. Or why the nonbinary category doesn't have prize money.

And it all ignores the reality: almost none of us are good enough to run times that would mean where we are running is gender exclusive (it's a sub 15 5k for men, and a sub 16:45 5k for women in my view; for marathons sub 2:20 for men and sub 2:35ish for women).

Every state has different rules. Even states that have some rules, nobody is checking.

School boards are elected by the people. I hope the parents band together and replace some of the board next cycle.

"gender" is just some sexist, nebulous concept comprised of stereotypes. SEX is real, and of course, what matters for sports. This is obvious to anyone with sense. We don't classify sports by 'identity' categories. We divide sports by sex, age, and disability status, because PHYSICAL attributed are what is relevant.

Btw, if you're female, you're a woman/girl. If you're male, you're a man/boy. YOU believe in that 'identity' nonsense, but the world doesn't have to cater to your delusions.

This. The left used this argument for votes and they have seen that this argument is not working. They pivoted and will go in another direction. Never gave a rats ass about people, simply a narrative that would achieve election results. i assure you the majority of Democrats do not want their daughters competing against men. Why? Because it’s stupid, and they care about their daughter’s success and safety. I am so grateful that America has opened their eyes. Transgender is real but rare. those truly suffering need compassion. Others can grow up and start SSRIs.

If that is indeed your condition, then you have nothing to worry about, as XX = female and you would not be trans. Pretty easy to get that checked (most would know by adolescence or earlier in this country). There is no need to deal in theoreticals. I always felt running JV would be a fair compromise (although I wouldn’t support XY in girl’s contact sports other than recreational / intramural where there is an understanding among participants of the risks). So I will concede you JV for trans if you concede that trans taking championships and varsity opportunities away from biologic girls is not right.

I have no problem with a boy who believes himself to be a girl training with the girls' cross country team. I have three daughters, and while they are still too young for cross country, I'm quite sure at least one of them will run, so this isn't theoretical for me. What I am not OK with:

1.) XY people in the girls' locker room with my daughter

2.) XY people COMPETING against my daughters

Some teams train together, some train apart. If it appeases the trans enthusiasts, it really doesn't hurt anyone for a transgender girl to train with the girls in cross country or track. So I'm all for it. (Obviously, this would not work for many team sports.) But robbing actual girls of medals, podium spots, all-district/region/state status, etc., - absolutely not OK.
