W 5000 loaded with all but McCabe and May from the top 10 in Wisconsin plus a number of others including the now pro Venters. McCabe and May in the 3000 with Aaylidiz and a few BYU runners.

Tuohy's 8:35/3k college indoor record looks safe for now.

Slight possibility Valby's 14:52/5k college indoor record could go presuming one or more of the collegians attempts the 14:50 Tokyo WC Q.

However, with Wolfe in the 3k (also entered in the 5k), Bosley's 7:36.42 indoor CR is vulnerable.

As is Nico's 12:57.14/5k indoor CR, given Blanks wants to get his 13:01 Q for Tokyo and this almost certainly will be his last college race.

Note that Habtom Samuel is entered as well.

I spy a couple Olympians in the women's Mile. This isn't the meet for historically fast miles, so presuming Tuohy's 4:24.26/Mile indoor CR is safe . . . but maybe not.

If the pace is right I would not bet against Doris going sub 15. She dropped Pamela and Hilda quite impressively in the last 400.

This LACCTIC ranking doesn't make sense to me.

Looking into how the "scores" were determined, it isn't consistent how the various races are weighed. For example, Graham Blanks has only 2 performances that make up his score: his Pre-Nats (6.2 weight) and NCAA XC finals (8.1 weight). Habtom Samuel has 3 performances contributing towards his score, but it doesn't include the NCAA XC final as any of them, even though the XC final had the greatest "weight" (it includes Pre-Nats [6.2 weight], his conference final [4.9 weight], and an outdoor 5,000m track result [5 weight]). Meanwhile, Brian Masau's score is based on the NCAA XC final, his conference final (5.6 weight), and the same outdoor track 5000m as Samuel.

But hey, I guess that's why we run the race.
