What were her times? That's all I can manage to give a sheet about this 'accomplishment' ..
Her times were decent (better than I would have expected) until the last one
3:31 in Antarctica
3:15 in Cape Town
3:12 in Perth
3:11 in Turkey (European side)
3:15 in Istanbul (Asian side)
3:16 in Colombia
5:15 in Miami with a bunch of walking breaks
That 5:15 goes to show how punishing 7 marathons in 7 days in 7 continents is, between the travel, weather conditions, and punishing miles.
I wonder how that Antarctica one was. It's currently austral spring down there so I'm sure it was extra cold, snowy, and windy. Kudos to her for running 3:31 on the ice!
Others have said this and I'll pipe in too, its completely unacceptable that shes flying all over the place, without any concern for the environment for this vanity project.
Its just not cool, not any more, we should all be better about things like this.

You big cry baby. Acting like it's not thousands of planes flying around daily. Not to mention the millions of cars. Do you walk everywhere you go? Or have one of those snazzy electric cars? Do you complain about the athletes that travel all over Europe and US yearly to compete? Or maybe you're just jealous you're too broke to do what she did or too slow to even beat her times. Y'all are quite sad individuals on here. Can't ever let someone have their moment without finding something to nitpick about.

But you voted for the crooked system of libs that convicted him on bs but let the Clintons, Obamas and BIdens slide. I see now. Cry harder and cope old man.

I love down votes by libs that lost on November 5th. Keep'em coming as then I know you've read my post and are upset over it:):):):):) I'm hoping for at least 15 down votes, please don't disappoint me.

She got a last-minute invite 2 days before it started. I don't know the details, but I'd guess that the flights were already set and it made essentially no difference to the environment whether or not she was on those planes or not. As an environmentalist who worked in the field and votes that way, I'd give her a pass on the trip.
I remember hearing Wardian talk about doing this at the Missoula Marathon in 2017. He averaged 2:45 for all 7, with Antarctica being his slowest (still sub-3) and running Miami in 2:30-something.
I also heard there was a guy last year that completed all 7 marathons and averaged something like 7:30 pace. Can you imagine running for 7+ hours a day for 7 days in a row? And adding 8-12 hours of international flight time per day on top? 😬

I don't really care either way. Just be honest and recognize that she's doing this to build her socials as a public figure, it wasn't some private moment reserved for family and close friends. So she's gotta take the criticism with the praise.

As mentioned, it was a last minute invite from the group that puts these races together. It was only a couple weeks after her 2:31 at the NYC marathon. She had planned to retire and travel the US for a year (by RV I think). The plane was going whether or not she was running.
You may not be flying all over the globe, but chances are if you buy fruit at the grocery store or order anything off of Amazon, you have a sizable carbon footprint.
Up until the last race, it was pretty impressive. Yes, a lot of people can do 7 marathons in 7 days, but not many can do 6 of them 3:31 or faster. The conditions didn't look great for any of them.
