Everything on Strava. Think I remember seeing him an interview a few months ago saying he’s never ran more than 120km a week but thats changed now. Still relatively low mileage super talent
You seem absolutely obsessed with white Europeans.
Not really but I do feel a certain affiliation to French athletes having lived and grown up in France for a number of years and I think that's a natural process.
This kid, Daguinos, surprises me because he's almost landed on the world stage from a previous level which didn't really indicate he would run this fast this soon.
France has a lot of guys who would dust the top Americans over half marathon and marathon.
Anyways just to clear up, this guy has been running since very young. It’s not that he appeared in 2020 and ran a 31 minute 10k out of nothing. Just to clear it up. His progression since 2020 is very impressive however.

Sure, but also remember two of them currently banned as well.

Where were they at the Olympics?
Apparently there are some 2:03-2:05 guys I had never heard of. Navarro (3rd Frenchman the last two years, 2:05:53) did quite well at 16th, but Amdouni (2:03:47)and Frère (2:05:43) were not there. Instead France took its 3rd through 5th marathoners of the past two years.
Mantz/Young beat those guys, 8-9-63 (Korir) vs 16-20-50, so I am not sure the claim holds up that well. But it's closer to plausible than I would have thought.
Nice recap. He held on well, running the last K in about 2:33 (avg was 2:42.4) with brisk turnover of about 100 per leg. Maybe a slight downhill finish helped.

They test more before olympics. People forget that one of their guys (Navarro?) got caught
Navarro caught? Absolutely not - he's as clean as a whistle.
The guy who missed his opportunity was National Guard policeman, Mehdi Frère, not because he was caught doping, but rather because he missed some dates for testing. Does not prove he doped. Most French, from what I see, still believe in Frère.
Amdouni missed the Olympics because of injury, a pity because with his 2:03:47 credentials, he was one of the favourites.
Not a lot of info yet about this kid, Etienne Daguinos. More soon. 27:04/10km road is monstrous. Convinced this kid is clean, but cynics may contest this claim.
Why would you be convinced? He and second place had massive improvements within this race. 3rd is a big Kenyan junior prospect. I do think it looks like the pacing went through at least 5,000, which is not always the case in a fast 10K and a big help.
I have no reason to particularly doubt either of the top 2, outside of 2nd being an older Kenyan. That being said, suspiciously huge improvements and they’re unlikely to have ever been tested in the past. Certainly I hope they are clean and give them the benefit of the doubt.
To be fair, Daguinos just broke an hour for the half marathon a few weeks ago - he was almost certainly tested after that.

Ghost1 definitely isn't obsessed with white Europeans, but he's entirely justified to highlight another white European talent destroying Africans. That's because it's been rammed down our throats for the last 3 decades that Africans had some special 'natural' advantage, and that if you were a white kid with talent you may as well choose a different sport. Now we know that was all a lie based on their rampant doping, although some fanatics, including I assume yourself, still cling to it.
Ghost1, you are losing all your credibility here...
Amdouni is among the worst cheaters of all time, and you seem to favor him and several other very shady french runners...
Anyway: anyone who knows anything about the traning of Etienne? Which philosophy?
I agree with you - Amdouni is suspicious and many people think so. Unfortunately for Amdouni, but some people will not be displeased, he his currently undergoing a criminal investigation for physically abusing his wife so he's out of athletics, at least for the moment, and his future is somewhat compromised.
With regard to Etienne Daguinos, there's not a lot about his training but I found an article from 2023 last year which detailed his training and it's classic training normally 100 to 110 kilometers per week but then he has recently moved it up to about 120 kilometers per week when he's in training camps at Font Romeu, situated around 1800 meters in the French Pyrenees.
Nous avons déjà rencontré Étienne dans les Pyrénées à diverses occasions, bien que ses milieux de prédilection soient la piste, le cross et la route. D’un jeune talentueux, il est devenu un d…
He does the classic training of one speed session per week, one long run and one tempo and the rest of the running is pretty steady.
We also know that in order to prepare for the half marathon he was doing seven times 2,000 meters in an average of 2:51 with two minutes rest. His training mate - Bastien Augusto, who ran 60:18 in Valencia, some 30 seconds behind Etienne.
But to be honest there's not a lot about his training. Just that it's pretty low kilometres around 100 to 120 kilometers per week like many French people they are not fond of doing heavy mileage but they do a lot of specific training to get ready for races.
With regard to studies he's training to become an accountant.
