You used to be able to go to Twitter to get reliable, real-time information about breaking news. That is now impossible. There's no way to tell if you're getting info from credible sources. All these changes Elon claimed were necessary to get rid of bots? Well, it's more bot-infested than ever. The algorithm just feeds you right-wing memes, AI slop, and Elon's tweets. It's already lost tons of users and that trend will accelerate bigly over the next year. As far as freeze peach, yes, Nazis are now free to post the most vile hate speech you've ever seen. Meanwhile, the word "cisgender" gets censored as a slur.
It's "better" if your whole personality is Magga! Pretty terrible for everyone else.

Implausible. But LRC is far more open to all points of view, and does not control up/down or likes/dislikes like x does. The control of likes is their way of eliminating unwanted posters--quit feeding them and they go away! A few years ago I was on Twitter and had 400-500 followers.
PGot regular likes every day--and even more opposition than I get here, because of my pompous b.s. --and lots of forwards.
For one year ending last September on "x" I poste one or two pithy opnions every day on a new account with my same name--real--and over the year received No likes, 3 followings, and no forwards. Hurt my feelings? Devastated! Went home!😁 Nah. Just moved on. There are plenty of more important changes and messes coming down the pike now, dont need to be involved in a fixed game.

The left loved Elon Musk 5 years ago. What changed? He disagreed with them on a few things and in the cult that's not allowed so he's the enemy now.

His twitter handle is just 24/7 anti-left sh*tposting. His repeatedly stated goal is to destroy the "woke mind virus," which just means liberalism. He is probably Donald Trump's biggest financial supporter. He turned a somewhat useful/interesting news aggregator into a right-wing propaganda machine. He has pronounced his own living child "dead" because they're trans. Can you name one liberal policy/idea that he has championed since he acquired Twitter? I fully expect him to start calling climate change a hoax in the very near future.
He made the left his enemy, not vice versa.
In any case, I've been saying that Elon Musk is a fraud since 2014, when he first started promising that fully autonomous cars were just a year away and prophesizing that single lane, underground tunnels were the solution to all urban traffic congestion. Any day now, I'm sure!

* Speculating that COVID leaked from the Wuhan lab (not even claiming it was an intentional bioweapon - just speculating that it leaked)
* Posting demographic crime statistics from the FBI
* Posting demographic IQ statistics from reliable sources
* Criticizing the Tavistok gender clinic (a clinic that has now been shut down by the UK government)
I was personally banned for creating a parody NPC account that made fun of libs (even though it was not offensive and didn't break any rules).
Liberal journalists used to have contacts high up in executive roles at Twitter so if they saw anything they didn't like, they could send a text and get them banned. Those contacts all got fired.
Contrary to their never-ending victim complex, libs have not been banned from X unless they reveal personal information like the guy who posted JD Vance's SSN. They voluntarily went to Bluesky and Mastodon and no one cares.
The institution is doing all they can to suppress truth/free speech and Elon is doing all he can to enable it. They have met in the middle. Too bad Elin was threatened after intending to release the damning Fauci files.

It's amazing how fragile the world has become where people feel they have to censor someones freedom of speech. It means they are afraid of your voice.
