Right? It is only Democrats whom I see deploy the "how does it affect you personally" decoy.
Liberals only care about themselves.
Yes, this idea that you should only vote on what effects you personally is so sh-tty that it could finally be the thing that unites both sides of the abortion debate.

yes yes - the people who say I will burn in an eternal lake of fire if I don't follow their religion. they care about me so much - I feel bathed in the love of god!
Like most topics, progressives only want to see one aspect of the issue that supports their side.
Men are financially liable for the child for the first 18 years. Do they get any say into the abortion decision? Forcing a man to bear the financial pain of supporting a child that he would otherwise have aborted is effectively slavery.
How about if a woman has a child and the father wants an abortion, that removes his financial responsibility? My body (and financial future), my choice... right?

I vote for what's best for myself first and foremost. Trump is objectively better for me.
Then you are voting appropriately: for only your own interest--right in line with your candidate, who only does Anything just for himself. But in a Democracy it is "we" the "people" not "me" the people. And it takes a mature, reasonable adult to vote for what they think is best for...all!
The abortion topic is one of the nation's great red herrings. Ultimately, the Federal Government cannot outright ban abortion without setting a legal/SCOTUS precedent that would outright screw up Federal lawmaking completely, let alone a large number of other agendas relevant to whoever wants it. It's an ideological Cold War.
Everyone at the Congressional level supporting abortion knows this. If they didn't know, the CIA or a veteran Congressperson filled them in at some point. It's one of many Federal psyops.
Regardless of how life was 40-50 years ago, if you want or need an abortion or Plan B, you will always have a reasonable option near your home to get one.

What a perfect way to summarize Trumpism.
But here's the crazy thing: For most Trump voters, he won't be better for them. He'll tank the economy, which boosts crime (of which they're more likely to be victims), and then blame somebody else. He'll make out okay--score some more $$, and stay out of jail a while longer--but they'll be fucked.
If my son knocks up any of his classmates, I want Plan B available without parental consent.
I go to school in a state where abortion is basically completely banned. If worst came to worst, there's always plan B, or a short drive (<5 miles) to the border of a state where it's legal.

CORRECT!
What about the rights and welfare of the baby? What about the would-be mother who was gaslit into thinking abortion was "fine," and then cannot sleep at night and has severe depression? You people are ghouls.
Most people are against big government taking away their freedoms and are also against republican death panels deciding which pregnant women should die of sepsis
