This move is effectively the end of Rodgers’ championship career. The Jets aren’t going to make the playoffs this year and Rodgers’ contact ends after the season. It’s hard to think of a fit for a QB his age whose game is in decline.

They could win the division at 10-7. Their schedule is not daunting. The Bills are not as strong this year, many key off-season losses. Allen has to do it all.
Wore the flag of Lebanon on his sleeve for the game on Sunday (at the end of the week that saw the Israeli invasion of Lebanon) got fired 2 days later and escorted out of the building (something not done to the coach previously fired). Media puts out false story that Aaron Rodgers was behind firing.

2) Saleh had worn the pin previously and not been fired. Why?
(1) It's called common sense
(2) Any evidence he previously wore that pin? Or does that just fit your narrative? And, of course, Israel was not invading Lebanon until last week
MSM is covering with this: Saleh doesn't wear the flag every week, but he has worn the patch before. He did exactly that during a game last October. Some interpreted Saleh wearing the flag as a political statement. Fighting between Israel and Lebanon — in connection with the Israel-Palestine war — began weeks before Saleh wore the flag on his sleeve in 2023.
No pics provided supporting the assertion he wore the patch before.
Plus he wore the patch on 10/6/24. Not 2023. And the Israeli invasion took place in October 2024, not 2023.
MSM put out the Rodgers got him fired story too -- a total fabrication

Jets are 2-3, one game out of first in the AFL East.
He's a knucklehead who didn't have control of a talented team because they didn't respect him. Bellichick would lead them to a division title. Their new coach could do the same.
I agree he was not a good coach, but no coach or system will revive this team. They are simply not that good and this has been abundantly evident this season. Good defense, awful offense. Rebuilding year for sure and although he is a 1st ballot HOFer, the Rodgers experiment is a bust.

The season has 17 games.
True - but I'd be surprised if they won 8 games all season. Vegas pre-season total was 9.5.
Saleh was fired by the owner without consulting his GM, never mind a player
Both the owner and Rodgers admit they spoke on the phone the night before Saleh was fired. Is that some of the reporting of facts that you take issue with?
Jets last possession against Denver was a joke. Rogers and receivers were not running the same play. Somebody needed to fired, not sure who. Looked like high school scrimmage. I am sure that was the most humiliating sequence of Rodger's career.
So now Saleh is fired, is Rodgers going to be any better? Seems like Jets are grasping for straws right now. Another rebuilding year.... Not sure why Rodgers would want to keep doing this.

They brought in several other former Packers along with Rodgers (plus his old OC Hackett), but most of the team is still the same bad Jets players they had before.
This is similar to how a bad Cardinals team in the 90's hired Buddy Ryan and also brought in a bunch of his best Eagles defensive stars, to try and recreate his prior success with the 46 Defense. Unfortunately, most of that team still sucked, and they didn't do too well before Ryan went away after a couple seasons.
