Yeah, this is wild. In the video, the one guy eats dirt, but judging by everyone's reactions he seems okay. Or people are so desensitized to violence that someone getting their stomach blown up is just a daily thing at the fruit stand.
Lithium ion batteries explode if they are overheated or overcharged. The malware must have been able to cause the pagers to run in a loop to make the batteries overheat (or something like that). Every now and then, devices malfunction and cause the lithium ion batteries to explode. So, you do not need anything added on. You just need to figure out how to cause a sufficient malfunction that makes the batteries explode.
Israel is the silicon valley of the Middle East and is a world leader in cyber security tech. IDF and Mossad have long had a pipeline from Israel's tech sector to combat Iran's cyber attacks. Not at all a stretch to imagine that Israel could design malware to cause pagers to explode. It is a bit surprising that Hezbollah, with its access to Iran's resources, would not have been able to detect the cyber attack.
My iPhone shuts off if it’s overheating. It could just as easily be encouraged to run more stuff when it sensed it was overheating.
Does seem like an escalation though, which is just great and not sure they care, but obviously lots of innocent people could get caught by this.
Israel is going to do everything it can to provoke a wider war with Iran and Hezbollah this fall to try to get Trump elected. Netanyahu can't do a deal with Hamas to free the hostages because that would cause him to lose support of the crazed right wing ultra orthodox part of his coalition. So, he now wants to provoke a wider conflict with Iran to force the US to come and defend Israel. That would provide the IDF with the military support they need to go in to Gaza and go through all the tunnels and take over a significant portion of the Gaza strip to expand a "buffer zone" with Israel. A similar operation in the West Bank is probably being planned. But neither can take place without the US basically assuming Israel's defense from attack from Iran and Lebanon.
My God as I realized I have a garage door opener which has a battery and as it looks like a pager, is it possible it would explode as well? My realtor gave it to me but as it doesn't open the garage door we have no idea. Also as there are raccoons in there, would it be dangerous for them?
Children were killed in these explosions. Unbelievable how blind you all are. This is once again an unacceptable attack by Israel. But because it's Hamas/Hezbollah who the Israel-controlled media paints as "the bad guys", and that Lebanese/Gazan/Iranians are apparently subhuman dimwits, it's fine. Just listen to yourselves. The brainwashing is complete.
This is fascinating. Because I have no idea how through software alone you could generate that amount of explosive force to do that much damage. Meaning, the devices must have had additional hardware installed. And that could have only been done at a scale this large prior to each of them obtaining the pager. So we're talking months of planning and infiltrating suppliers for each of them to get one of these "hot" pagers. And for all of that to not get detected that the pagers were tampered with is wild. Mossad is patient and pretty much the best in the world at this, but even for them this is incredible.

I thought they just catch fire? Exploding pagers with 100+ in the ICU I can't see from a tiny battery. No? How did these people come to have bombs on their belts?
Never went away. Doctors still wear pagers. Use radio waves, can't say you didn't get the message etc... Phones run out of juice every 24 hours, pagers run out every month plus.

Lithium is not an explosive. It gets hot and expands, the casing in which is it's housed then bursts. Much like you'd say a balloon pops, but it doesn't technically explode. There's no chemical reaction involved. We wouldn't all be carrying an explosive devices with us as well. So Roy here is wrong, it takes/took more than just a virus to get these devices to cause the flesh damage they did.
Use your brains people, we all couldn't take our phones on planes if they were explosives by themselves.

Iran has the largest number of Muslims converting to Christianity in the Middle East, and those that do convert overwhelmingly become pro-Israel and anti-Nezam.
As I suspected, study your materials science kids...
"Sky News Arabic quotes an Israeli military source: - The Mossad placed explosives inside the batteries of the communication devices and detonated them by remotely increasing the battery temperature. - They used PETN, a stable explosive, instead of other types of explosives for this operation. - PETN is one of the most powerful explosives known in the world. It is sensitive to heat and friction, which may explain the explosion mechanism. - The explosive material was inserted before the devices reached Hezbollah. - Hezbollah’s supply chain was infiltrated. - Al Jazeera adds further details: 20 grams of explosives were placed in each device, and Hezbollah began using them 5 months ago."

I was in Beirut in 2022. Driving from the hezbollah-controlled sector to the Christian section was like driving from Compton to Bel-Air.

Make one wonder if they also had implanted bugs in the devices.

A good solution would be for Hamas to operate out of a military base instead of in populated non-combatant areas. I looked at Google Earth and there are quite a few sites in Gaza where a military base could be located.
This way, Isreal wouldn't have to attack non-combatant locations and many civilian casulties could be avoided.

That’s great and everything but the rest of us are talking about Hezbollah and Lebanon.
The funny thing is that this pager attack is defined as terrorism. But since it’s the “good guys”, it’s “self-defense!!”. Heck yeah!
Safer than trying to drop bombs on buildings. It’s also a form of public humiliation. Now everybody knows who the terrorist is. How soon before a bunch of Democrat lawyers file suit against the pager companies and Israel?
