WTW: What to make of Jakob's half-marathon and have we entered phase II of the super spike era?

While this thread is fine, mods should try consolidating or deleting some of these extra Jakob threads that clog up the front page of the Board every day.

And before you claim you can't because this doesn't happen, they're getting reported as duplicates so all of you clearly know about them.

The amount of opinions and/or objectively incorrect statements that are prevented as facts within that article is slightly concerning.....

Maybe an article about doping in HS/NCAA? ...and about the ridiculously low numbers of doping tests and their targeted substances in those leagues?

Actually it can. Cushioned shoes as an every day trainer to promote speed and recovery became a thing in more recent years (saucony tempus and Brooks hyperion series). Those shoes are now universally used and allow for longer stints at peak form and more racing. Hence why all the pros have been rolling for four months in good form. This was only possible because of the super shoe wave.

Who said Farah would be able to take the WR? I'm simply pointing out a fact that everyone here, and you also have complained about (!), that Farah did not in any way test his limits and therefore to base what times Jakob is capable to run on what Farah ran, is just a ridiculously bad comparison, and you know it. Its something Runners World would write.
