Was it a “mistake” for him to run a podunk 800m where he got like 4th in 1:46? Was he washed up after that? He’s clearly a 1500-10k guy now, maybe with HM potential down the road, and has proven he’s virtually unbeatable in the 3k-5k range. He’s also the best in the world at 1500, and probably will be whenever he tries his hand at 10k. No reason to hate for trying something off-distance and having a rough go a day and a half after his third biggest race of the season. He’s had a great season including a legendary WR, Olympic gold, and seems to have added maturity to the way he views his competitors. What more could you ask for really?
