Yer not a doctor. It is widely known that appendicitis can be caused by bacteria and parasites from dirty food you eat, like what Molly did eating sewage contaminated raw oysters from Paris. Cook your food.
"Appendicitis may be caused by various infections, such as viruses, bacteria, or parasites, in your digestive tract."
And in addition, how oyters would be contaminated by the river water? They come very far from Paris. Do you think they put the open oysters in the river? to wash them?
This take is so ridiculous. The conspiration of the oysters...
The French release raw sewage all over the place, doesn't have to be just Paris poop in the oysters.
“Running 30 mins easy (or less) until my knee improves” on Strava. No activities uploaded since 7-25. Didn’t know it was this bad. Is she cooked?
I actually think there has always been a safety net for her. As good as she was/is running has always been relatively contained among her life priorities. She has a great family and other interests (like coffee shop, family events, lake lounging) to fall back on. Running is probably an all or none phenomenon with her, even with OCD, so if she is shut out she will have and find other stuff to do.

Even more Moran: oysters don't come from the river, omg
Where do you think all the sewage polluted Seine River water goes? It's a 777 km long river that drains into ocean areas, like the Channel, where oysters are.
Plus, the British have been releasing tons of raw sewage into the Channel and North Sea since Brexit that even the French says there is too much sewage in the oceans and beaches! So the poop in Molly's raw oysters could very well have been a mix of British and French. A very unique euro dinning experience!
Britain is threatening human health, marine life and fishing by releasing raw sewage into the Channel and the North Sea, three French Euro MPs have said.
They have asked the European Commission to seek “political and legal” measures to stop the pollution, accusing the UK of abandoning international environmental regulations.
The official complaint comes after dozens of beaches in England and Wales were pinpointed as posing a pollution risk for bathers.
The three MEPs have written to the commission in Brussels saying the UK’s decision to lower its water quality standards is “unacceptable” and action must be taken to stop it polluting the Channel and North Sea.

“We fear for the negative consequences on the quality of sea water that we share with that country and as a result on the marine biodiversity as well as fishing and shellfish farms,” they wrote to the environment commissioner, Virginijus Sinkevičius.

Oh, and here is proof that raw sewage from French cities does get deposited into the bays and ocean areas where the oysters are farmed and captured. The sewage in French oysters caused widespread Norovirus earlier this year and got banned for a time. Very reasonable to deduce that Molly got appendicitis from eating contaminated raw French oysters the night before.
An investigation identified as the culprit the norovirus—a highly contagious virus causing vomiting and diarrhea—detected in oysters from the Arcachon Bay west of Bordeaux on France's southwestern Atlantic coast.
The authorities quickly banned the harvesting and sale of oysters from the area, and from two other oyster production sites further north, Calvados and Manche, "until further notice".
They also told producers there to stop selling the oysters already harvested, and consumers to return them urgently.
The contamination was a result of flooding in waste water treatment plants due to high rain water levels, which pushed untreated waste water into the ocean where it contaminated the oysters.
When Philippe Le Gal brought his oysters to market this weekend, he expected them to sell quickly. It was, after all, New Year's Eve, a day when the delicacies are a crucial ingredient for champagne-soaked celebrations in Fre...
I don’t know enough to answer you well. It’s a reasonable enough question, though.
As an outsider with limited info, my $0.02: But consider that this is a runner who had significant health concerns prior to some of her best results. She improved her health, trained diligently so that her athleticism would come to the fore , and had an amazing day, largely due to tenacity, to the joy of her country and her family, as well as something she could do course be proud of herself. And her college achievements showed that she was never a one-hit wonder.
Some of health issues can conceivably walk hand-in-hand with the difficulties of any manner of stress. She’s not alone in that, and to her credit, I don’t think she would claim that she is special in that regard. But her successes placed her in the limelight while she was encountering some setbacks, and then lots of fools thought it would be great to pile on.
So although she has had trouble with her knee and the appendicitis and other kinds of physical ailments that are hard to overcome, I can expect that she has endured enough to leave her in a place to make a strong recovery.
But if she winds up not making it all the way back and performing at the highest level, I think only the worst among us will automatically target her instead of realizing (a) she hasn’t been dealt the best hand since the Olympics, and (b) even though we all hope the best of her story has not been written yet, she has authored an incredible story to this point click.
Molly Seidel, the Olympic bronze medalist in the marathon, has recently announced her withdrawal from the U.S. Olympic marathon trials for the Paris 2024 Games. A knee injury, involving a fractured patella and a partially torn patellar tendon, forced her to make this tough decision. Despite her efforts in cross-training and working with physiotherapists, she determined that racing in her current condition would lead to more severe injury. Seidel expressed her deep disappointment, as she had been aiming to defend her medal at the upcoming Olympics.
Woah crazy story. I crossed paths with her and said hi the day of the womens marathon in Paris. She was near the km 42 mark (not in the grandstands just out with the normal people) with Alexis Pappas just spectating and she seemed still totally fine then and enjoying her day. I was surprised she did not share anything on social media about her trip to paris though. Anyhow wish her the best for a speedy recovery.
Today I learned more about European sewage than I ever would have had an interest in otherwise. Bravo, I guess? Keep exposing that crap.
Appreciate the links, though your search history must be hilarious. What types of ads do you get now? Also will you be taking requests to expose other continents' crap too?
... she posted a picture of her giving the camera middle finger because she was upset about a pretty clear-cut Supreme case that even Roberts and Barrett agreed on.
Wow! Even conservative Roberts and conservative Barrett agreed on it! That's crazy
The types of ailments Molly and the author were trying to pass off as relatable quirks are alarming, and it begs the question; should someone with this many serious mental and physical health issues be a professional athlete?
No, it motivates or prompts the question. "Begging the question" is a fallacy in logic: assuming what needs to be proved.
Not usually a grammarnazi, but this one really bothers me for some reason.
You're on to a loser here. (1) "begs the questions" is being used to contrast the logic applied, so it meets your definition; (2) the phrased is used - and understood - in this format all the time, and that's how language works (whether you would like it to work that way or not).
The French release raw sewage all over the place, doesn't have to be just Paris poop in the oysters.
I've got some bad news about what many US cities do to their lakes and rivers when their sewer systems get overrun during flooding.
Which is why it is always a bad idea to eat raw oysters no matter where you are, they are filter feeders that will hold sewage in them. Oysters actually have a pouch inside them where they store their own poop along with sewage they cannot digest. When you eat an oyster, you also eat the poop and sewage in that pouch.
Everything you wanted to know about the oyster (or perhaps not). Clear, expert-backed answers to top questions: what do oysters eat, do oysters poop, can oysters feel pain?
