I have no inside knowledge, but NB currently makes the most sense brand-wise (hers and theirs).
Do you care to clarify how the NB brand lines up with her ‘brand’ (whatever it is), and vice versa? I don’t get that view, since she seems agnostic to a particular brand, and shoe companies would usually be interested in any decent distance prospect.
New Balance Boston checks the box for training partners, but being mid-d focused, I don’t think they put enough emphasis on living at altitude.
Team_Boss, at altitude, has a big New Balance presence.

By not “getting” it, I meant I’m not disagreeing or agreeing, rather I just don’t understand it. Thanks.

Mean girls though?
Better off in Boston or Flagstaff.
I don’t put much into the ‘mean girls’ nonsense perpetuated on this crappy rumor mill. I’m not aware of an existing Boston group stationed in Flagstaff, although New Balance Boston will go there for stints. The only New Balance distance athlete that comes to mind is Sisson, but she seems to normally not train in a group.
I want to re-emphasize I think both living and training at altitude full-time, is the most-likely most-beneficial to a distance athlete, and I think being stationed in Boston, New Balance Boston may not want to accept that.

By "brand," I mean the personality, values, and "vibe" for lack of a better term. All-American, balance of competitive without taking it too seriously, female-focused.
I think Nike might seem obvious because of the NIL and because they have more money overall, though not necessarily when it comes to sponsoring distance runners. The big bucks are going to actual celebrities on and off the track.
As far as "shoes companies would usually be interested in any decent distance prospect," sure, but is she interested in them? What can they offer her? She is very marketable outside of what shoes she wears. Being agnostic to any particular brand means the ball is in her court (no pun intended).
Unique to her is the ability/willingness to crush massive sessions indoors and or have those sessions be non-running. That opens the doors for environmental modification, which I think she should utilize. For example one can humidity and/or heat train, use supplemental oxygen, train with a lactate meter or CGM. This also means if it snows 3 ft training isn’t as disruptive as it would be for a mostly ’on ground’ runner. I’d set her up in a swank place in Nederland 8300 ft, with a training shed & all the bells and whistles, commute down via full time driver to Boulder for ground running and contact with humanity.

Maybe Valby will be the athletic spokesperson (i.e., The Face) of a new startup coming out with a patented new Arc Trainer knockoff. Notable features of their new model:
(1) the arms move forward in opposite direction to the pedals, to better simulate an actual running gait;
(2) they are placed in a shallow-walled tub to collect puddles of sweat;
(3) the machines robotically hose themselves down post-workout.
