I watched the 15 minutes before the race and knew picking Warholm was wrong. Mondo is used to standing around then exploding. Warholm's slaps were all out of sync.
"It's a good question. It's something I'm sad about. I'd rather run the 400-meter hurdles in this jersey than do a 'walk of shame' with it. I felt it a little in my hamstring when I crossed the finish line. I tried to warm up today, but it's not safe for me to run today," says the Norwegian. He tells NRK that the rest of the season is now in jeopardy. The hurdler says it will take a few weeks before he is back again.
"It looks a bit bleak. We'll see, but I doubt it. I think yesterday was my last race of the season," he says.
