First, Colin Jackson was excruciating in the big interview. He was asking such basic questions about running 1500m. He didn't even ask their thoughts on why all four decided to come back for this race or if they had reflected anymore on the Olympic final. There's so much he could have asked, like how Hocker feels to be elevated to the point where he's one of the big guns who gets wheeled out for these DL press conferences. Such as wasted opportunity.
I think Kerr just went for the jokey response to the question about what he likes about Jakob. He's said a lot of good things about Jakob as a racer in the past. Still, I liked Jakob's sincere response more. I didn't really like his response to he question about the 3k record, he was a bit sh1tty to the journalist which was unnecessary. Then again, he had to sit through 20 minutes of Colin Jackson's inane questioning so he might just have wanted out of there
Oh dude I'm glad someone else said it. They are clearly making this push to have Colin as this live mic savant but he is awful. He couldn't read the situation in the Mondo v Karsten race tonight and just gibbered on forever and I totally agree here - these questions were just utterly remedial. The biggest problem was he asked one question then went down the line in the same order for the guys to all respond. By the time it gets to Cole, Jakob what other input do they really have to give for such simple question to begin with? He starts off about "being in awe", the "1500m guys are the biggest stars" etc but clearly he did no homework on any of them or he could have had some defined question sets to ask each of the guys that were relevant to their personas and background etc. Very very weak.
