I'm running it for the first time this year. Anyone with experience have any advice?
Line up where you should line up even if you have to be a bit obnoxious getting there. If you get stuck behind people I'd suggest running on the far right side and passing with as little extra distance as possible (run in a straight line!). Everyone generally goes out crazy fast, so be prepared to settle in after a 5-10s sprint. First 1/4 mile split will be fast (probably 2-3s) and 2nd uphill quarter will be slow (again 2-3s) but from there you are flat and downhill so it's a good course to negative split on. It's nicely marked so make sure you are working hard and continuing to push the last quarter while not getting empty as you pass the 1500m mark (usually marked).
