That's Giles' best result in years. A win in a good time over Nuguse. I can't remember the last time he beat anyone of that calibre, probably a few years ago when he was running 1:43 indoors.

Didn't look like another pacing gig, so what happened? i know he timed his peak waaaay back for US trials (nearly pulled it off) and he's ready for a break, but jogging in a 4:13 is worrying.
Hard working kid that has taken on lots of races to get his name in the mix.

I am interested to see how both these guys run coming off this (assuming both will be there). I can't ever remember a road mile being put on at this point in the season - one week out from basically the final weekend of the season, where you had guys probably in those meets running in it. It didn't look like they were just floating across the line there.

You really don't know that one mile road world records were not recognized until last year and that all times before last year were not considered?
Don't remember Hobbs Kessler getting the one mile road WR last year in the high 3:50s?
