That Florida distance coach is a menace. I guessed the only way to break through the collegiate scene is to encourage your athletes to do whatever it takes to win.
This explains the 'emergence' of india in the past 2 olympics, I had to do a doubletake during the men's 3000m steeplechase when I saw oneJulius Yego of Kenya is about to be upgraded to a javelin bronze medal in the not so distant future.
This fellow also attended the same college as some popular 5000/100000 that's, according to this site, the next big thing at those distances and creates some sort of mania... can't exactly remember her name, blonde, valley park? verby porker? valet park?
Birds of a feather flock together.
1. I am glad he was caught. Doping at the NCAA level has been going unchecked for far too long and at least the smokescreen is down. He's not the only one doping.
2. College isn't the same as some professional group. Just because he was teammates with Valby doesn't mean they are doping together. I am less suspicious of her because he was caught than I am of bowman athletes when Shelby was caught.
3. That doesn't mean I think she is clean.
Whoa, whoa , whoa, whoa, I don't know who that verby person is!!
Can someone fill me in, how many instances has an NCAA athlete been busted? Steve Mullings in 2005 is the only one I can recall.
Well, if you don't test, you don't catch. This is the whole problem with the NCAA, it's the Wild West. Khan was caught by testing at his national champs. The NCAA needs to be brought under WADA jurisdiction. And you're deluded if you think Khan is the only one, or that it's only international athletes.

Doping is epidemic in the NCAA. It's really bad in the sprints too - Randolph Ross and Grace Nwokocha got banned in short succession in 2022. Both ran for NCAT under the same coach (you all know who), who incidentally was also banned as a pro for his involvement in BALCO. They certainly are not the only ones.
Going to be plenty more of this as more and more schools transition over into recruiting elite level foreigners who may have had access to doping. NCAA needs to start testing if it wants to remain serious and not just become the enhanced games.

Sensational logic.
The collegiate athletes in the U.S. are competing year-on-year in a system without doping tests, and you're instead blaming the foreign athletes for apparently having access to drugs back home? Because all foreign doctors just hand this stuff out like candy? Just completely ignoring the hundreds of untested American athletes.
