Galen Rupp has got to be one of the dopers that is in Travis Tygart's pocket and who's tests get wiped clean by the USADA. No way there has been exactly zero positive tests for Rupp being the most tested American athlete all these years
I don't know if Rupp doped or not and maybe I'm misunderstanding your point but is it your contention that Rupp was a doper and using his frequent testing and lack of failed tests as evidence?
Release them in 20 years when they're all retired and their coaches are irrelevant. There's no reason we'd want to see the US fall back to the dark ages of Tokyo 2020.

My "contention" is that Travis Tygart gave Galen Rupp immunity to dope in exchange for information about NOP and Salazar. Rupp doesn't so much as even have a single positive test for cold medicine after all the thousands of tests Tygart and USADA have given him spanning decades.

Because the Brojos don't want to embarrass America while everyone is paying attention and watching Americans compete at the Olympics. Imagine every American "winner" getting quizzed about whether they are being protected by Travis Tygart.
Everyone does realize that USADA is responsible to US law enforcement agencies first and foremost, then they are responsible to WADA. They were actually, you know, trying to catch the drug suppliers rather than the users, which will go a lot further in rooting out doping in sports. WADA is a corrupt, clueless organization that has no clue how to stop doping.
The only reason this is being made a big deal right now is because the Europeans and Chinese are pissed that the US track and field team is completely wiping the floor with the rest of the world right now. It’s sour grapes and nothing more.

I could have upvoted you because I knew they have used informant (at least one proven) and that it helped catching bigger people than this second tier athlete, but the real reason WADA is pissed is because of the hot air USADA directed at WADA with the chinese swimmers. That has nothing to do with US results at the olympics.
So the rumors all these years about Travis Tygart and the USADA intentionally hiding positive PED tests of American dopers are true, WADA found out about some of them and clearly does not like Travis Tygart......
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) says U.S. agency USADA broke the global code by letting several athletes it had caught between 2011 and 2014 violating drugs rules go undercover and keep on competing without prosecution in exchange for information on other violators.
USADA says the tactic is necessary and allowed, and wants to keep using it. WADA says it is against its code and that athletes caught breaking doping rules should not get to line up in races, potentially winning prize money and medals, without first being publicly prosecuted and sanctioned.
The two agencies are also embroiled in dispute over the global system for policing doping in sport, sparked by the case of 23 Chinese swimmers which has cast a shadow over the Paris Olympics.
"WADA is now aware of at least three cases where athletes who had committed serious anti-doping rule violations were allowed to continue to compete for years while they acted as undercover agents for USADA, without it notifying WADA and without there being any provision allowing such a practice under the (global) code or USADA's own rules," WADA said in a statement to Reuters.

Just wait for everything to unfold. WADA is firing back because Travis once again is fighting for clean sport harder than they are while they collect Chinese checks. None of these claims they’ve said will go to court just like their claims that they were going to take Travis to court over him calling them out about China did.
They’re trying to scare him. They won’t. He keeps receipts. And WADA knew about all this investigating before. Just trying to cast doubt on Travis now so they don’t get pinned to the wall by him.
The period referred to ended 2014 so whilst still very significant it's not current. Also the profile of the athlete described makes clear by omission that they weren't a huge hitter by USA standards, never competed in a major champs or in an international meet outside USA and as has been mentioned worked kind of as an informer. Not a beautiful thing to read but I see the rationale. I'm not from USA.

Some really dumb takes on here about who the person might be. Clearly they didn't run in a major championship.
'In one case, an elite level athlete, who competed at Olympic qualifier and international events in the United States, admitted to taking steroids and EPO yet was permitted to continue competing all the way up to retirement. Their case was never published, results never disqualified, prize money never returned, and no suspension ever served. The athlete was allowed to line up against their unknowing competitors as if they had never cheated'.
As if Rupp or Centro would inform on NOP, especially in the time period they were winning olympic medals.
