Nice try. Interviews were this week but on campus visits haven’t happened yet. He might be in the final running, but absolutely no decisions have been made yet.
That would be incorrect. On campus visits/interviews took place this week for finalists. Decision will be announced very soon.
Hence the Monday public announcement reported by source.
I only thought Cornfeld would leave NAU if it was one of those "an offer he can't refuse" jobs and Colorado is at the top of that list. altitude, history, and a salary there's absolutely no way NAU can match. I always thought with the right coach Colorado would immediately be up there with BYU and NAU. Cornfeld is a great recruiter, too. if this news is true Colorado should be thrilled with this hire.
and with Elise Cranny living and training in Colorado don't be surprised to see a Team Cornfeld pro group in the next few years.

Cornfield, not Cornfeld.
Made the same mistake several times before finally committing to memory images of corn fields from my halcyon days of youth growing up back in the Midwest.
And, yes, if he does well with Elise (now only five months in), can certainly see a Team Cornfield crop of pros on the horizon . . . maybe even sleauthing a runner or two away from Team Boss if that group continues to underperform and lose talent.

This source is wrong. Cornfield was the bottom of the list and is not getting the job
Per sources, CU expects to hire the NAU assistant following their interview process. Source says public announcement expected on Monday
If this is true he is an awesome coach he has been at nau since the Eric Heins days. This guy deserves to take the helm at a place like colorado. I think he would be a home-run of a pickup.

He’s never actually coached anyone. He drives a van. Terrible choice
It could be even better. While I admire Wetmore's success at CU, I don't really understand why they experienced so many down-years. Probably the best training infrastructure in the country with lots of scholarships, an awesome school, and great history. Could say the same about Oregon.
Sorry but a monkey can be the recruiting coordinator at NAU. Jarred's recruiting isn't the reason why they're dominant. NAU is at a point that they're self recruiting.
Why wouldn't they go after Eric Heins at Indiana? Or Milt? Brandon Bonsey of Georgetown? Will Palmer at Florida would probably love to have control over the scholarship distribution at Colorado. Brien Bell at Syracuse or Ryan Cole at Air Force.
Those are all young coaches that have significantly more experience than Cornfield.
Coach Prime is very open about his faith and spirituality and seems to be doing just fine in Boulder. IF it is Cornfield, why would he be any different?

Coach Prime has no toes and Cornfield has a full complement.
Chris Woods of Mississippi State is a strong candidate bringing those very good 800 meter beasts. He and Prime Time can work together and grow the Sprint Roster.

This clearly never happens. If a program becoming self recruiting happened, Boulder never would have had down years. Even at the height of CU's prominence, CU was not getting top recruiting classes.

Parker Wolfe is from Denver, a 20 minute drive from Boulder, and he STILL chose to go to North Carolina.
Kiki Vaughn, daughter of Sarah Vaughn, a CU alum and legend. she grew up training on the CU campus, yet she chose NAU.
