The funny thing is that she is likely to be the only distance runner to bring home a medal. Just like in 2022 and 2023.

It's crazy the amount of vitriol Mu gets on this site when none of you know her and she hasn't done anything to any of you. She doesn't exist purely to entertain you.

Every single female who has an "A" standard has declared except for one in the 200m, one in the discus, two in the shot, and Mu in the 800m. There are people sitting at home right now on the bubble not knowing whether they are going to get in or not. If someone is NOT competing (and they certainly know that by now), the proper thing to do is scratch as others have done. It's just common courtesy. Nobody needs 48 hours to complete a task that takes about a minute online.

I assume she's injured, but why wouldn't she declare and then decide last minute?

I’m having a hard time coming up with one good reason Nike should keep paying her.

She gets paid nearly 7 figures from the Nike marketing department to race track and let us know once in a while when. There’s a minimum obligation here don’t you think?

A little communication would go a long way. Name one other sport in which the top athlete does not compete in the biggest championship but does not even say a word to the media.

The way people here talk about her and make assumptions turns my stomach. The vitriol speaks way more about the person spewing it than the person it’s directed at.

She won a gold medal. That counts as using your talent. If she wants to do other things than run, so be it. We are lucky when we can choose how to spend our time.

She got second in a national 1500. But yes, she is not considered one of us by this board because, well,, no need to say it.

Sorry to hear. But her piss poor attitude and higher than thou persona makes her deserve every negative comment she gets. She’s done absolutely nothing to win over track fans. Totally self absorbed. Good luck to her but I could care less about any further track events she “decides” to grace us with her presence.
