There may be faster or better runners but does she have as good a running form as any athlete?
Bol has good running form. It is deceptive because of her height. Other athletes such as Mu, Miller-Uibo, Steven Gardiner and Letsile Tebogo also have this deceptive form. A shorter athlete with deceptive running form is Amber Anning the 400M runner from Arkansas Uni.
In terms of picture perfect form: Elaine Thompson-Herah and Noah Lyles are the only two that spring to mind.
SFP has excellent running form and is very short.
At the risk of incurring further unpopularity I don't think Ingebrigtsen has the best form in a distance runner. While economical there is also something wooden about him and not flowing in the way Bekele showed.

Jakob has massive glutes which contribute to that particular style of his, which may not be aesthetically pleasing, but extremely effective.

I think that's the argument someone made about his head.
I thought this thread was going to be about Femke's current form, as in, her performances and if she looks ready to take on Syd.
Hard no on that account. Been a bit disappointed to be fair with the way Femke has looked (the underwhelming season opener in the 400H and the mixed 4x4 getting smoked at Euros.). My guess is she will round into form in time for Paris, but I doubt she will be within a second of Syd.

A bit spotty, this. Meditating on Bol’s “illusion of effortlessness,” the author references Roger Federer, Jessica Ennis, Carl Lewis, Ben Johnson, George Best, Josh Kerr, Jakob Ingebrigtsen, Usain Bolt, Muhammad Ali, Michael...

I don't think you read the first post in relation to the thread topic. It isn't about her prospects. That's an entirely separate subject.
Why do you ask for running form for someone who - according to your standard - is an obvious doper?
Doping and form are not the same issue. Most top athletes are likely doping but some still have better form than others - as she does. El G had beautiful form but in all likelihood was doped, as most distance runners in the 90's would have been.
I think the reason why jakob was 'equal to runners like berega' in 2019 was because he was 18/19 years old? although barega is also jakob's age and has been one of the best in the world for as long a jakob. 'Runners like barega' are not particularly common either.
Point being that jakob really is extraordinary. Not saying he is the greatest runner ever, and I don't think anyone else really is, but he has the potential to be the greatest runner ever.
Her form is incredibly deceptive. She makes running 49 seconds for 400 look easy and controlled. Super impressive. She almost looks like she's in jogging mode! Few are equal to this lady 💩
Why did you use the poop emoji??
My bad, I thought it was a mountain emoji, meaning "peak" "apex", or "highest". 🤔🥟
I think superspikes and track technologies are doing a lot of changes in performances.
Look at the results of Athing Mu and Kely Hodgkinson, 1:55 or 1:56 were inconcevable years ago.
Same thing fanboys of Jakob think of him a sort of new superman or the magic of Gjert training, while if we look back at his results in 2019, they were ordinary in comparison to other runners like Barega.
If he only appears to be fantastic because of superspikes and tracks, then the other runners, including Barega should've maintained their old advantage over him and nothing would've changed.
Instead, they're running at about the same level, while he has caught up, and arguably leapt past that level.
Has it ever occurred to you that he was only 18-19 years old in 2019 and that he matured, improving since then?
