Hayward field should be in Kansas or Oklahoma as it is in the middle of the country and therefore the easiest to get to. There is never any traffic there besides horses, so their roads will be able to support people coming in for an event as no one ever goes there. Also, we can have premium world record events like the great discus world record sponsored by random oil tycoon who discusussed back in high school.
Leave it where it is. Eugene.
Another in LA/SanDiego area
Another in Boston/NY area
Another in Fayetteville
Another in North Carolina
Host their own meets and have a rotation for NCAA, USATF/Olympic Trials.
Create a different design based on historical influences of vernacular architecture, culture etc so they are unique. Begin a national series of meets that are marketed well and create an atmosphere that incentivize people to come.
Figure out how to get $$$ for all that is needed to put on a meet that will get more attention than Corn Hole tournaments on ESPN 3+. Hard to watch the Kentucky Derby and not dream of track meets with that kind of tradition and celebration.
It’s fine where it is. Looking forward to the Trials in 3 short weeks.
Thinking inside the box -- even just Portland would be much better than Eugene. Keep the Nike ties (for better or worse), cooler weather in the summer than almost anywhere else (the insane heat at the 2021 trials notwithstanding). Avoid the lack of hotel capacity and flight difficulties of Eugene
Thinking more outside the box - maybe Boston/New England? Hartford? Thinking relatively cool summer weather and huge density of high school track runners and ex-runners who you could get to pack the stands 24/7 instead of mostly empty hayward other than the biggest sessions/races
Eugene. End of thread.

Dropping it into Lake Michigan. It is plenty deep enough that the stupid looking tower will be submerged. It will make for a nice artificial reef for fish.
or put it in the Florida Everglades. As far away from Eugene as possible. We always hated that "track town" BS. Even those of us who run and like track, we are painfully aware how fake and cheesy the whole thing is.
