I'm not sure why everyone is going ga-ga over Teare after this 12:54. It's certainly encouraging but the reality is 1.42 seconds behind FIsher. At the last Trials, if you were 0.13 behind Fisher, you wouldn't have made the team.
If I'm all of these guys, I'd be very worried that Nuguse runs the 5000 for kicks and giggles after making the 1500 team. In a tactical 5000 at the US level, he might end up being like Jakob is at the world level.
1) c'mon man, that Teare / Fisher analysis is... horrible. Comparing races in that way is completely and utterly irrelevant. Foremost reason being that Teare likely didn't even race to win but to time trial (not saying he would win at all).
2) I'm laughing over here thinking you genuinely believe Nuguse is touching the 5k this cycle. He's a great runner and will no doubt succeed in the 5k but clearly hated it and even talked about giving up on it when he ran in Boston. what makes you think he's going after it again? wouldn't he want to be here tonight then to get more race experience against contenders?
