I've never spoken to anyone that considered Vin's coaching anything special. Pretty vanilla old school from what I've been told but he can still recruit with the best of them even in his seventies. The man tends to win wherever he goes. I don't envision him ever winning ncaa's at UVA but an ACC title is no small feat either. Good for him and all those young men that put in the work.
He's won at Dartmouth, Stanford, Oregon, and now Virginia. Other than whining to get Brosnan fired, he's never done anything I find objectionable.

Vin got fired from Stanford for shifting financial aid money to athletes illegally. Then he was fired from Oregon / Nike for lying over and over. Vin treats others like sh!t and always has. You can say he’s a great coach , I disagree but it’s your right to believe that. The man is a bad person and literally has no regard for anyone but himself. The lack of respect he gives anyone is unprecedentedZ

I don’t think it’s really haters. Vin has a bad reputation of treating people terrible and people don’t like him. Everyone knows he was thrown out of Stanford for shady money dealings. Yes he left a top DI for a non existent DIII. No one does that on purpose and it’s what happened.
If that’s what happened, then why would Oregon hire him just a couple years later?

I don't even think this is true. Nike/Oregon were happy with his xc&track titles. They were happy with his role at Tracktown, organizing the bid for worlds.
He stepped aside only due the false corruption charges associated with worlds and to be Prez of USATF.
His UVA team runs in Nike, so does not appear to be any issues.
He also has a history of body shaming.
Not even an honorable mention for the guy with a waffle iron?
You forgot the most important coach of all. Think…waffle iron.
I am a current athlete on the track team at uva and only a select group of the distance runners like him. everyone else hates him
