As long as klecker is there (and he doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon), I feel pretty sure his wife will have a spot there if she wants it...

Yah I’d agree. Even though Sage hasn’t made any global teams she’s done decently well in diamond leagues and domestic races. she’s running the mile(1500?) at Penn relays soon. Will be interesting to see how she fairs in the 800 this year. Super stacked event for the US.
i do expect some changes with representation/sponsorship in a good amount of clubs and brands this year though. Carmela won’t be the last for sure.

Agreed. It is a bummer that Sage keeps getting fourth when it matters. She's actually pretty good but has the misfortune of competing in the deepest events in the US. I think she would've done better than Kaela Edwards on the global stage.
I think there'll be a big reshuffling soon. A lot of contracts probably go through Paris 2024. I am curious what the future holds for Olli, Morgan, and maaaaaaybe Sinta (luckily for her she is Italian).
Good, I sure hope so. It's really tiring to see these US-based sponsored coached groups be so inclusive of foreigners who aren't in the citizenship pipeline. They can go form their own groups. It's not about taxpayer funds or xenophobia, it's about giving opportunities to our own exclusive of all others. There are plenty of hungry young USA runners out there who could have taken full advantage of the spots given to Baez and McDonald, who honestly squandered the opportunity.
I asked a simple question and it got deleted hmmm ok then BEAMISH and NUGUSE DOPE
I don't think it should have been deleted so I put it back up. The mods should just let downvotes express dissatifaction with posts that go off topic. That being said, we don't need every thread turning into a "Did Ritz or Rupp dope while at the NOP thread?"

She ran 15:3X at Boston so I think she can get back to her old form with some more time. She’s had a rough time with injuries but probably wasn’t going to have enough time in her peak years to hit Alicia Monson type status with OAC.
also makes you wonder how long she has left with ON itself and same for others like hannah steelman
Her old form? She was never that good.
15:30 doesn't cut it at the pro level. 15:00 doesn't even cut it anymore, and THAT would require suspicious leap of improvement for her to achieve.

Absolutely no way Oli doesn't get his contracted renewed. Olympic final, sub 3:30 & 3:50, Com Games gold, world XC medal and, very consistent on the diamond league circuit. He's arguably their most consistent high performing athlete.
Morgan is definitely in more danger since he's so injury prone and he's admitted on their podcast that Ritz has challenged him a few times to step it up and be more professional. 13:07 indoors is promising but he's had injury issues since then. We'll have to see how Aus champs goes for him.
Sinta ran PBs a lot last year (her first year with OAC Boulder) and is the italian champ. She seems almost a lock to make the Italian team so I think as long as she makes teams they'll keep her on the team (similar to marta pen freitas with brooks/portugal).
Jonas Raess will be the next to leave is my guess. 13:32 and 28:04 so far this year are rough although he did make worlds for switzerland so same logic as Sinta I guess

Please don't use my post to justify your xenophobia. Talented foreigners for Americans to train with make everyone better. I can count on one hand the number of deserving Americans who aren't sponsored, and it's on the shoe companies, not the foreign athletes (e.g.: Trevor Bassitt who trains with a group full of Americans and Joseph Fahnbulleh, who's not even in his event, as the only foreigner.

Olli hasn't even raced in over a year. Hardly consistent if you ask me, though he has amazing potential. Plus, there are some talented kids in his event coming up through the ranks--UW boys, Anass Assayi, Parvej Khan...

I feel like you might be trolling but I'll bite anyways. He ran 3:29 June 15th 2023 in Oslo which is less than a year ago. Oli is a proven quantity, you know what you're getting with him. I'd much rather invest in that than a collegian with lesser accolades and slower times. Also Oli has a large fan following which I think can't be overlooked

lol to the OP of that post -- Hurta is ranked 13th in the world at 800 right now and in the top 5 easily in the US, in what world does she not make the cut for any pro team in the world?

She's never made a world team. That's what I was referring to--an amazing runner that misses such opportunities you'd expect her to clinch.

I was responding to the OP that you were responding to. Sorry that wasn't clear.
