2021 didn’t break 1:50 in his first 800M of the year. Ended up in Tokyo.
The key for Centro is to stay healthy. Can he build a strong enough base to run sub 3:35 in the final while closing in 52-53? The one guarantee is that the Olympic Trials final WILL NOT BE SLOW.
I know a lot about dinosaurs. Centro appears to be one. He still isn't running the 800 any faster than Roger did. 1:44x is a pipe dream.
Aren’t you the anti-vax goofball?
Your takes are straight trash even for Letsrun standards lmao.
Centro would roll bannister in an 800m.
Also Bannister ran like 70 years ago.
No, I'm not anti-vax, so you appear to be the goofball. My point is exactly that Centro is currently no faster than an athlete who ran 70 years ago. But at least he appears to be faster than Kiprop, who I understand can't beat 2 minutes.

points to a 147 next time out . in a 53 plus 54 type race.
which closes the gap on the required 145 have a shot at the 1500 qualifier.
where you can see centro closing in 51 in a slow final, which will be very close to good enough.
still, he'll have to make that progress suggted. which will be the coaches plan.
In what world does someone running a 5 second positive split in an 800m 4th place finish show that they can run 2 seconds faster next time out?
It was a slow race where he lost and was totally spent at the end.
In a perfect paced race, he goes out in 53.30 and comes home in 56.30~1:49.60. That's only an improvement of .12.
By June 1st he will go sub 1:47 for 800m sub 3:36 for 1500m. He will run the Olympic trials but won't make the team but will go out with his dignity. We will see an impressive improvement in the next 10 weeks
