A year prior to winning 1500m Olympic gold, 2016, Matt C raced 1:44.xx 800m, 2015. Going back to Peter Snell era, if a 1500m man has sub-1:45 800m speed, he can kick with anyone. George Beamish is not that type of athlete.
If hocker wins today, will you consider him a legit world champion? With Jakob, Kerr and Nuguse all out of it, it’s far from a great field.
With Ingy not there it's a cleaner Championship. And Hocker is too fast for slow twitchers with Achilles problems. But don't worry Shocker, Nordas is Norway's best miler now.
