Yeah I expected him to be faster over the 800m. He seems faster than 1:46. And maybe he is but one race didn't show it. I could see him matching Jakob up to the 3000m. Beyond that, their difference in mileage (115ish vs 85ish) would have to show. But I guess we won't know until Yared attacks a fast 5000m.
The world 1500m record is worth 3:42.28 for the mile by the 1.08x, so Nuguse would have to be in supreme shape and have supreme pacing to do it, meaning following Jakob again but outkicking him at the end, which could well happen.
