No it is not possible. Jakob will NEVER run under 26:20. You guys have rich fantasy lives. Maybe you have no experience with this sort of thing. Mo Farah also beat many 12:45ish runners, and yes Mo could have run 26:35 or so, but we know he never did.
What has Cheptegei run? 26:11. Hasn't Jakob handled him rather easily in 5k races?
I would guess you would believe that Hicham would have defeated Kenenisa @ 10000m, which might have happened if the pace was slower than 27 minutes. But of course you probably think Hicham could have run 26:25 or so, and you would be incorrect.
Jakob is not getting anywhere near 26:00. He has shown nothing to indicate that he can run under 26:30.
I agree that Jakob has shown nothing to indicate he can run under 26.30. But on the other hand: He has shown nothing to indicate he cannot run under 26.30 either…

They have only raced 5000 twice, and yes, Jakob won. But El G also handled Bekele pretty easily in 5000 races but that didn't mean El G could run 26:10 (or even 12:37, necessarily).
Tough call...but someone should make this race happen ,perhaps in Hangello in june 2024.My money is on Kiptum. On many occasions I have made the observation that his demeanour is different from the typical Kenyan athlete. He is assertive and mean when he races and doesn't take prisoners. I think Jakob cannot intimidate him like he normally does the rest of the competition in his race.

The answer may be: in a slow and tactical 10.000m track race Jakob would win against Kiptum. In a fast paced 10 km road race Jakob wouldn't even get close to Kiptum. Would be smashed by a guy who can run in 27'52" the last 10 km of a marathon.

Maybe 2025 needs something like this to spice it up.
10,000 track, 10K, 10ish cross-country.
Get the two of them and group of other top runners.
I have had the privilege of watching Kiptum train prior to Chicago 2023 . He is an absolute monster on the track.Do not be fooled by all the talk about him not racing on track.
