The British were exposed as covering up a few years ago
There was leaked emails if I recall
Spanish are notorious for doping and coverups
Correct. The Spanish getting exposed means worrying times for the British. Blow that whistle Pedro!
Kenny back to his bad mama best.
Spain in trouble is concrete proof that the Brits are cheating, just like the countless Kenyan cheaters also shows up the Brits for what they really are.
It's worth pointing out that one of the cases involves the NR holder in the marathon for both Spain and Morocco- Majida Maayouf. Maayouf set the NR for Morocco last year in Valencia (2:21:01) and then switched he allegiance to Spain and got their NR this year (2:21:27).
It's alleged that Spain retroactively gave her a TUE.
This shouldn’t be a shock to anyone with two brain cells rubbing together. The meteoric rise of another Spanish/Moroccan should also raise some eyebrows.

Remind me again, how can someone change allegiance in less than 12 months? I know it's something to do with international representation, but surely it's wrong to be collecting national records for countries as you choose?
Sadly this is completely, utterly, wholly... unsurprising.
The Spanish state sponsored doping regime that funnily enough kicked off just before Barcelona is up there with the great regimes of all time - especially in track and field but clearly it extends well and deeply into soccer, cycling, tennis - I would seriously doubt any great Spanish sportsperson of the last 25 years hasn't been involved and that of course includes Nadal (whos body is now sadly breaking completely apart which is a classic tell-tale).
My favorite story out of Spain is one that's been told here before and one well know in track and field circles and that is Fermin Cacho who famously won the 1500m in Barcelona quite "remarkably" easily. Cacho was a perfect candidate for doping - great natural power and speed but poor endurance so when he was able to get his hands on the right vitamins he was perfectly suited for races like the Barcelona (2min+ through 800m). The thing with Cacho is that he was truly relevant one day and gone the next. He completely disappeared at the end of 1999 after running the European record in 97 (3.28.95) and finishing 4th in that famous Seville final in 3.31.3. The story goes that Cachos wife was extremely religious and finally found out about how her husband had really made his career and gave him the ultimatum - stop cold turkey or you'll never see me again. So he did the latter and honestly good for him. He was 30, had made a bunch of $$$ and was a national hero. He tried to continue his career but without the special sangria was basically a stock standard 3.40 talent so basically retired straight away.
I've heard many other stories about the national distance program in Spain, including the setup where the team lived with each other highlighted by a long security gated driveway with cameras that could easily identify testers and rooms in the basement cellars where guys would go to hide when testers came by (and remember it was only in 2005 that WADA really buttoned down the ADAMS online whereabouts system which really enforced those rules). I know this first hand from a guy who was training with the squad and witnessed it first hand.
Someone mentioned that Spain should face the same fate as Russia but honestly if WA was going to do this and be consistent then they might need to be careful of who they actually have left competing. Spain, Kenya, the US.... it might be a long list....
Their Ministry of Sport has been covering for Nadal for two decades.
1. Bingo. Nadal is one of the most obviously doped athletes I have ever seen. Tennis is a catabolic sport, like running--i.e. It makes you skinny, not bulging with muscle. Nadal was "treated" by a doctor Angel Cotorro, who also happens to advise Carlos Alcaraz, the new Spanish wonderboy with bulging muscles.
This is no surprise, Spain has one of the most lax drug policies anywhere in the world. Just look up Operacion Galgo and you'll find how much of a eff up that all was, from destroyed blood bags to athletes like Marta Dominguez and Adrienne Herzog being acquitted of all charges. They were later popped because of the overwhelming evidence in the ABP and/or a blatant use of EPO and testosterone.
So you're comparing confirmed doping coverups with a female field eventer who is a bit too muscular for your liking? Fatima Whitbread was likely an intersex athlete. She still looks manly now. Is she still roiding?
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is under increased scrutiny following revelations that the Spanish Anti-Doping Agency (CELAD) allowed athletes to evade punishment for doping violations between 2017 and 2022.
UK Athletics is planning to cut all its major events staff responsible for staging prestigious Diamond League meetings and also intends to reduce its anti-doping team
But don’t worry, uk athletes, daddy oh-my-lord Coe will solve your problems… unless you’re CJ Ujah and are so careless to get popped so many times that even the Tory of the WA can’t help you...
