Why not transfer to a college with degrees that actually mean something?
C'mon man keep up with the story here. If she went to ANY other college, they would run her into the ground at the conference meet. Huntington is different because they wait until the indoor national championship meet to run her in 5 events.
She signed a contract ~7 months before the Olympic Trials.
AW has the Olympic standard in both the 800 and 1500, yes? So why is she wasting an Olympic year at Huntington? Why wouldn't she take money when she is at her most marketable?
Good observations. One is staying in college because she is focused on running rather than money. The other wants money. One is running qualifying times. The other is not running qualifying times. But some of interested people seem to claim that they know what is best for both women.

Why do they need to be mutually exclusive? Nothing says that you can't both turn Pro and get an education at the same time. Is this an American perspective? that you can't do both.
Tuohy ran several years in the NCAA before obtaining an NIL. Did the elephant walk from her room to Wiley's room?
I thought this is a thread about Wiley. I never mentioned Tuohy and as a matter of fact, her name wasn’t mentioned in this thread until you mentioned her.
So try to keep up. Would you like to to talk about the elephant in the room?
Yes. Every Tuohy fan is trying to destroy Wiley but they look like fools becue they had every reason in the world to justify Tuohy going to college and staying in college. Team. Growth. Championships. Education. Experience. Etc. But now that Tuohy is going pro, BOOM. Staying in college is for idiots.

Why can't she negotiate with Nike, adidas, etc., to pay her tuition? Why can't she pause her studies until after the Olympic year? KT has a degree, not sure why you keep bringing that up.

Someone mentioned Allyson Felix earlier. She committed to UCLA but IIRC, never ran as a bruin. I believe that Will Sumner is still enrolled at Georgia but is now a pro sponsored by adidas.

Again, Tuohy was never mentioned in this thread until you brought her into it.
Also again, try to keep up.
These Wiley threads always follow a similar pattern. Whenever someone mentions something, anything, about why she hasn’t turned professional or questions anything about her, some buffoon introduces Tuohy into the thread.
It seems like a lot of projection & deflection to me.
This isn't complicated. A 2nd grader would understand the logic. The most successful high school runner in history took this path. That is why she was brought into the thread. She is the best role model for every young female runner to follow. She entered college before NIL existed. She stayed in college after NIL and before she obtained a deal. Wiley listened to all of the experts.

Addy will miss her marketable window. She need to distance herself from Lauren and Nick if she wants a chance to win a sponsors trust
