Yeah, because she’s not afraid to race anyone at any distance. She makes it super easy to cheer for her because she actually races… all the time, at big races against lots of people. The opposite of Athing or even Kipchoge. Plus she’s super relatable and friendly in interviews.

I agree. I respect her temerity. But this isn’t a popularity contest. You can’t consider feelings when evaluating GOAT applications. Just cold hard facts.
She spreads herself too thin among the distances, which make it near to impossible to also be at a WR level for each distance. Today she ran the 2nd fastest marathon of all time with only 6 weeks of dedicated preparation after Budapest. She likes the variety. If she wants a WR she definitely can get it.

I've never considered this goat stuff of any consequence, nor would ever speculate over who is the greatest ever. That said she's another Zatopek or Haile to me, fantastic performance today.

I dun trust Faith Kipyegon, I find her such a doper being in Kipchoge's camp. I find Sifan Hassan more reliable. I think her 2:13:44 is reasonable in Chicago, maybe worth 2:12:44 in Berlin or closer to 2:12:00? Chicago is known to be a slower course any case.

Who says a world record holder is limited to one event? Kipyegon broke the world record in 3 events this year.
She's great, Faith is up there. Sifan was just a very good runner until 2019 then she all of a sudden exploded, almost out of no where. Next year another runner will be around the age Sifan was in 2019, Letesenbet Gidey. I think in the next 5 years the GOAT argument will be settled for for the next 15 or 20 years!
Americans like Jenny Simpson used to destroy Sifan Hassan, ; then Alberto Salazar and 2019 happened.............................. All of a sudden almost out of the blue her body looked different and she was doing things no woman ever did before. Not the GOAT yet! I'll take Tirunesh Dibaba over her any day!
