The real answer is dramatically lower testosterone levels among younger men. Why and how this has happened is open to debate, though oddly we don't hear that debate too often.
This problem manifests itself in men playing video games all day, not going out, less interest in sex, porn obsession, simping for unattractive women online, etc.
I didn’t watch the video, but the theme matches my 20 something daughter. She isn’t dating because she doesn’t think most guys are a match for her, but none of the guys who she would think are a match for her are calling because they have too many other options and their time is filled with girls who chase them. Same with her friends.

The real answer is that women these days are not nearly of the quality of those in the 1950's. So many are fat, selfish, demanding, attention deficit high expectation creatures. It's no wonder there are so many gay men in the world now.
With dating apps & social media, women have so many options these days it's not even funny
For example, an average-looking but fit women or overweight woman who is pretty can create a profile on a dating app & within days she'll have dozens - perhaps even hundreds - of guys "liking" her & sending messages to her. And many of these guys are so desperate & thirsty for women, they"ll say or do just about anything to sleep with her.
As a consequence of all the attention & validation a women gets on a dating app or social media, she becomes conceited & picky with the type of guys she'll date.
And if you have an interest in one of these women that are on dating apps & social media, you'll be competing with tons of other guys for her attention & approval!
IMO, dating apps & social media has ruined dating for so many guys. It wasn't like this pre-internet when there wasn't so much competition for available girls in your community.

But this doesnt make sense to me mathematically? Still the same number of potential mates out there. By this logic you would have to also believe a surplus of women are just staying single too. Not sure how we can have more single men but not women?
Men are also choosier. Me for instance, I haven’t had a single date since 2018. Mostly because I’ve only asked one girl out on a date and she’s literally perfect in every way. She’s with someone, but that will eventually end. There’s 5 other women who want to go out with me who I talk to but I decline them pretty consistently over the last 5 years because I’m not interested in anything other than perfection. If I can’t have that, I’d rather be single.
Because it has become impossibly difficult for men in the bottom half of attractiveness (looks). Of course, attraction has always been mainly about looks, but decades ago men who weren't good looking could compensate by having the ability to be a good provider ($). Since American women aren't interested in being provided for, men without the right genetics are totally useless in today's dating marketplace. It's fake news, the idea that women have a tough time finding dates because they can't find men at or above their own socio-economic status. They're setting their dating filters to exclude men under 6'0" tall (that's statistically around 90% of men) for example. High-status women these days like having a "boy toy," a good-looking guy for their Instagram photos, regardless of whether he has any money. The life to which modern women aspire is to have a high-status career they focus on, in addition to their popular Instagram account, while their jobless husband stays at home and takes care of the good-looking 1 kid they produced through his good genetics.

You can’t. But there are a lot of people of both sexes with delusional expectations. if you are a 5 holding out for a 7, you will be waiting a long time. Guys focus on how easy it is for woman row have sex online. The seem to forget that has always been true. Want a relationship? It is still as hard as it ever was.

It's so true. Young women are turning to other young women because the young men are so terrible.
1) More women are going to college and fewer men are. College educated women are not likely to want to date a guy who did not go to college. I suspect more guys who went to college are ok the other way around.
2) Letsrun has great examples here: Men just not being willing to talk to a girl or ask her out. It could be a lot of things here. It could be not knowing how to approach and/or not being comfortable with the potential for rejection. It takes a good deal of guts to approach a woman and I suspect a lot of guys have watched "pick up artists" who tell them "tricks". The problem is you come across phony and a lot of girls pick up on that or you might get an "in" but then have not idea how to have a conversation.
Maybe some of this is from parents who have protected kids from failure. Learning that failure is part of life in areas like games and sports (and even academics) builds resiliency that may transfer over to other areas of life.
3) Unrealistic expectations. Some blame porn but I think that is more an issue once in a sexual relationship. In movies and tv you hardly see a rejection (exceptions are when it is intentionally comically done like in 40 Year Old Virgin). The guy walks up to a girl or there is a "meet cute" and they fall for each other (maybe after a bit of "will they won't they").
4) A lot of people just do not put themselves in position to be in a place to meet people either. Dating apps are fine and a lot of people find a partner on them, but there are also people in the real world not on them. I think even people who have grown up on dating apps would prefer to meet a person IRL.
The above might not be true for everyone and maybe are even off and certainly not an entire list.
